Likes

Great campus life with good faculties and seniors.
Clubs and sports facilities are very good.
Great Night life and college culture with good weather.

Dislikes

Overall the college is decent but transportation facilities can be improved
Central library is too small for all the students.
Their is no swimming pool and OAT in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

New education policy is followed for the courses which make them relevant and neccesary for placements. Also there are many clubs that can enhance your skills and improvise learning. Teaching method can be better if focuses more on learning rather than attendance and grades. The frequency of exams is quite hectic.

Internships Opportunities

To be honest i don't know much about internship opportunities provided in the college as i am a first year student only but i heard its quite decent and rare as well i mean amount paid is fair but for very few students.

Placement Experience

The placements are quite decent if we talk about the average package it was about 17LPA for B. Tech students. Also it varies according to your branch. The average package of CSE lies in the range of 20-40LPA which is very good.

Fees and Financial Aid

INR 183170 is the fees for 1st semester for B.tech, B.S, B.S/M.tech courses in which you get fee waiver of 2/3 tution fees which is 1Lakh per semester if your family income is less than 5 lpa and 100? fee waiver on tution fees if your family income is less than 1 lpa

Campus Life

Yeah the college life is quiet good with good college culture and seniors. Also alot of clubs are here which can showcase your talent and improve it. Campus and night life is chill as compared to other IITs

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are decent i would say. The mess is also decent. The food is not that good but yeah its eatable. In a room you are provided a table and chair along with beds and 2 alimrahs for 3 seater capacity.

Hostel Fee: INR 13000 per year

Admission

I cleared JEE advanced 2024 with CRL close to 15k through which i got admission in IITP. Other colleges like IIT Goa, IIT jodhpur were some in which i could get admission in same course but i prefer IITP over them because its doing great in every aspect among 2nd gen IITs.

Faculty

The faculties are quiet decent. Some of them are really good and some are in growing phase trying to improve their skills. Examinations are mainly of 3 types i.e. midsem, endsem and quizzes. Also thier are lab exams for certain courses.

NIT-Patna at a Glance

Placement Experience:

The current scenario of placements are not quite good . But in electrical engineering it is a little good .Previously except 2-3 students all students were placed successfully from our department.One best thing about NIT-Patna's placement is that it doesn't allows companies to aquire students who offers a placement of less than 6 lakh.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students starts their internship and sitting in placement opportunities heighest package is approximately 1.5 crore and lowest packages 6 lakh. Here 60 to 70% students is most probably placed.

A short review about NIT Patna

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is decsent comparaing to other institutes . Every nigger companies comes and recruits the students with descent packages and in some case with extraodrinary CTCs . Basically there is mass recruitment in Civil and mechanical branches . Also the IT recruiters give chances and packages to lots of eligible student irrespective their branches .

NITP COLLEGE REVIEW

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placement from the 3rd year onwards and till completion of 4th and last year.The students are also eligible for the interships offers from 3rd year onwards. Various companies visited in our college including GOOGLE,AMAZON,JP MORGAN,FLIPKARK,SAMSUNG,NVIDIEA,ORACLE,INFOSYSand many more and are offering 2-3 job offers per student . The highest package in our college this year is 27 lakh ctc from samsung.7 students are able grab this mighty oppurtunities and are companies are still visting for hiring. The average placement of the students are nearly Rs 6 lakh CTC. The percentage placement is nearly 100% in our college except for some braches like civil and mechanical where the placement percentage are nearly 80-85%. My plan is to go for UPSC exam after getting degree from this college.

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. IIT Patna Through An Honest Insider's Perspective

So basically as I came to IIT for btech... It take entrance exam called as the jee mains and jee advanced.
