Likes

Seniors are really very helpful. Infrastructure is of top quality, well equipped labs, clean campus, sports facilities are there.
There are almost 50 clubs including technical and non technical.
There are 3 canteens , the food quality of main canteen I comparably good. There are hired grounds for cricket, football and basketball.

Dislikes

Campus area is very small, around 7 acres . The locality around the college campus is not that safe, especially for girls it is not safe for them at night
The college hostel is 3 km outside the campus, and it is very expensive around Rs 1,20,000.
There is too much of intake, which is not good for future placements. As there are 720 seats for Cs, total there are 12 branches, the total of students from all the branches is around 4000, so the competition is very high.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is great, as they complete web development, C, C++ , python in the first year itself. And in the second year they start DSA, so till third year students are company ready. Curriculum also include General proficiency, logical and reasoning type for subjects also and gives more importance to the presentation.

Internships Opportunities

There are some internship offered to the students with good stipend. Many students apply in a different companies for internship and there are many companies which give internship to students. Internship is very useful for placements in future at it plays a main role in resume.

Placement Experience

In fourth year there is on campus placement. Average package for Cs department was around 8 - 10 lpa. Companies like Nvidia come to the college. The highest package offered was 51 lakh last year. My plan after getting the degree is to get the job in top company with high package.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am from open category my year wise fees is Rs 192945/- , in which tution fees is 162608. Development fees Rs 24392. Eligibility fee is Rs 600. Exam fees is Rs 2200. Misc. Univ fees is Rs 3145. For SC, SC the total fees is Rs 5945.

Campus Life

The most famous event of the college is Vishwakarandak. There are so many events which take place in this colleges, and there are so many clubs, which gives exposure in technical as well as non technical fields

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is not great, as the hostel is outside the campus it is not accessible for everyone as it is 3 km distance from college. The hostel is very expensive as it cost around 120000 and it is not affordable for everyone so many students leave in pg around the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

In CET I got 98 percentile. In my college list the first preference was COEP. But for my percentile VIT was the best option for Cs. As comparing to other college VIT's avg placement is good. And after taking the guidance from seniors I preferred this college. Admission in this college is through CAP round.

Faculty

The faculties are quite understanding. They are highly educated and supportive. Faculty for COA is not that great. The exam circullam is not that tough, as it is a a autonomous college, the syllabus is advance as compared to other colleges.

From 6 the semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. In 2025, Capgemini has visited our college and also the Many more They helped us for getting internship in 8th semester also. As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission.
