Course Curriculum Overview
Medical curriculum is very big, it's only your interest in serving people that will keep you balanced in this course. Otherwise, this course will feel like a burden as days pass. If people are truly interested and dedicated, then this course will give them so much scope in the future in the real world.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is offered by the college at the end of 4.5 years of MBBS curriculum. Internship is of 1 year duration which also pays you a very good amount and internship is at our own hospital. It helps to learn and practice what we have learnt throughout the curriculum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees is around 39000, including the hostel fees. Hostel fees is around 13000 and the rest amount is for tuition fees. It's a government medical college, that's why the fees structure doesn't change year by year, it's been the same since a while now. Scholarship can be availed by the students belonging to reserved categories and those who have passed their class 10th from government of odisha shools in the form of post matric scholarship, which gives them a very fair amount to resolve all their spendings throughout the year.
Campus Life
The campus is really good, but it can be better. We have our annual fest and annual intermedics meet. Library is good and contains all the required books and latest journals. The college offers a good amount of facilities for sports.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are good and spacious. The message food needs to be better. Hostel rooms are allotted at the time of admission. Some people also choose to stay outside, but for me it's the hostel Life that gives you so much good memories with your friends.
Admission
I haven't choosen this college, I have been made to choose this college because I had lesser marks in the entrance exam. I applied for some of the good colleges in this field but I couldn't get a seat there. The admission is done by OJEE, a government authority that controls the admission for almost all the professional courses in odisha.
Faculty
The faculties are very good and highly educated. There are a very good amount of faculties consisting of professor, assistant professor, associate professor, senior and junior residents for all the 19 subjects of MBBS. All the faculties are good and I like all of them. There are around 3 internal exams every year in a span of 3-4 months between each of them. And at the end of every academic year we have our professional medical boards, which is conducted by the university.
