The campus is best hilly places and lot of beauties
Koraput is also widely known as Switzerland of odisha
Best places of the college is in front of the auditorium

Dislikes

The food of the Raju mess I disliked because it is unhealthy
The hospital and college washroom is not hygienic
The college is campus is very short area as compared to other colleges

I have choose MBBS(Bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery) which is a course in which became a doctor in future. The competency based curriculum is applied as instructed by NMC(National Medical Comission).I have weekly and monthly and annual exams

After 4.5 yrs of MBBS journey when u passed final professional exam u have a 1year of internship in our own hospital of the medical College.There various patients come with different medical cases so u have to get good knowledge about treating various diseases.

After you have once completed MBBS degree u have various job opportunities like tutor,JR in the the college itself by walk in interview.Also you have job like medical officer in CHC,PHC of state of odisha and also out side odisha.My plan after getting the degree join to a pg course as soon as possible

It is a government medical College so tution fee is very less approx 37-38k/annum .My complete cost for education for 5 yrs approx 2 lakh .many scholarship are available provided by state government like post matric scholarship, professional scholarship etc.Stipend provided during 1year of rotatary internship

The best campus I have ever seen in my college with such hill stations with natural beauty.our college infrastructure is also unique in the state among all medical College. Badminton court,volleyball court are also present in the campus .Class room ra well equipped light and ac class room

Hostel Facilities

In hostel room you have to provided with a bed ,a table ,a chair for study purpose and a cup board for store your personal things.The meal quality is average you have various resturant near by to order food so it is not a major issue.You have to pay hostel fee by online sb collect then give receipt to warden then you get accommodation to the hostel room

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

Admission

10+2 with PCB (50% marks ).You have to apply for NEET UG,on NTA official website.If you have reservations then u get a seat by easily.Admission into MBBS course by qualifying NEET UG cut off mark for general is 602(air-28k approx)according to neet 2023 cut off

The teaching and non teaching faculty of my college are very well and they are well qualified and behaviour is atmost great . Facult:students ratio is 1:25 respectively.Faculty are good interaction with students and help in studies

Best part is the infrastructure and facilities provided and the flexibility with the payments and attendance

A pretty good college with scope of improvement

Likes

The campus life is amazing. Our student union is extremely hard-working, and they always come up with some events or other to make your boredom go away
Faculties are very knowledgeable and unlike most colleges, they actually want to teach. The clinical experience is unmatched
Infrastructure is top notch. Single rooms are available from second year, and the hostels are quite well maintained

Dislikes

The curriculum is a bit too strict regarding marks and attendance. A little leniency would have been better
The campus area is a little smaller compared to other AIIMS
Too much administrative red tape causes delay in almost everything, be it installation of new water filters or filling a pothole

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to become a doctor, and MBBS is the first step to become one, so I choose this course. This course makes you a primary care physician, capable of providing basic healthcare services. And being a bachelor's degree, this is a stepping stone for the future endeavours in medico life. Though I feel there's room for improvement in the flexibility of the course, as there's not much to choose what to study. Exams are once in 2-3 months, and are moderately difficult, except the professional exams, for which you have to put your best efforts

Teaching is very good here , all the teachers are good except a few
Supportive seniors, help with studies n all
You will get a good environment for studies

Dislikes

Well campus isn't as we expected it to be
As always you have to choose your friends wisely
There's not a lot of fests going on yearly as like other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well MBBS is a serving degree, if you are interested in serving the people you can choose this degree. It also needs a lot of patience, here we have classes from 7 AM so its a bit hard to wake up this early & ends at 4 PM which causes more trouble coz u won't get to rest properly, usually we end up being tired & lack of sleep, so I think this schedule can have a bit more change with regards to us children. The exams here are done very frequently, as in the class tests are taken up time to time , sometimes surprise tests are also done so u have to be very updated with what's being studied each cls.The internals are held in every trimester & at the end of the year a product exam is being held which is the important one.

Placement Experience:

The medical field does not have placement term in its profile. Whoever does mbbs gets either a government or a private job in a hospital or a medical college. After doing pg one can also act as a tutor. Almost and every student graduating from my college gets a job. I will work at my college after doing my mbbs.

Our college is very good and it is serving people of western odisha with good quality of medical support. Getting a score 597 in Neet 2022, I have applied for all the colleges in Odisha as most of us would do. The top 3 colleges i.e, SCB, MKCG and Burla were out of reach, after that my 4th priority was SLN MCH koraput over Balasore and Baripada due to connectivity issues from my hometow, also I've got some news of unavailability of faculties and some basic facilities. SLN MCH Koraput : where Academic excellence meets Scenic beauty and serenity!

All the government medical colleges accept NEET scores. So everything come down to NEET scores and your rank in the exam. I got the college through state quota. Out of 8 government medical colleges, SLN MCH, Koraput was my 4th option after the 3 top colleges including SCB MCH, MKCG MCH & VIMSAR, Burla solely because SLN MCH had hospital conveniently located across the road. I didnt get into other three college because of their high cutoffs. You've to appear for NEET which is a national level exam of three subjects including physics, chemistry and biology. If you're applying through All india Quota, the rank must be within 18k and if you're applying through state quota, it has been varying from 600 state rank to 850 state rank ( or AIR 20K - AIR 29K). I got this college according to my rank in NEET - UG. This college is not too old. In 2017 1st batch of MBBS had started. If you want to study in government medical college you have to clear NEET- UG with good marks. In 2022 if you get 600 marks out of 720 you may easily get the admission is government college.
