Likes
- The infrastructure is good. SBSC has the only building is DU which has a round building that's cool.
- College societies here are also very active and good for exposure
- Professors are also very helpful and have great teaching skills.
Dislikes
- There are no major fests in college so that's a dislike I have. And the boys to female ratio is not so good I'd say 45:15
- The canteen food is not so good in terms of quality.
- There is a compulsory 67.77 percent attendance criteria
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Com(Program) as this was like it for me in DU as very little colleges provide other commerce courses. The course is not so bad it teaches some insightgul subjects and teachers you good. The improvement that can be made is some practical knowledge other than all the theocratical one. The exams are once every semester and are not so tough.
Internships Opportunities
There is no available outside companies internship opportunities in the college. We have a internship society but it doesn't provide much internships. The college provide some inside college internships that are not so good. If you want a good intership you'll have to search outside college.
Placement Experience
The placements in my college is limited. Only around I'd say 300 students get placed. We are eligavle for placement in our final year. The companies that come are diloite, EY, KPMG, GE Shaw etc many companies come. The highest package that came was 22 lakhs per annum. My plan is to appear for CAT exam after my graduation to further do MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is yearly basis and around 16,000 per year for a three year course. Fees may vary for different courses. All the different kinds of fees are included in the one payment yearly. Other than this a semister wise fees is paid for exam. It is around 1500-2500 rupees per semester.
Campus Life
The college have very little events, we have a dilwai mela and not so much more. Specific societies does events that are not so big because of faculty restrictions. The books in the library is vast and very good. The lab classes have the latest computers and are pretty impressive. Sports and extracurricular activities are not so good but are there you can join the specific societies. The clubs or societies in the college are very active and provide good exposure, I'll suggest to join societies.
Admission
I applied to majorly all the commerce colleges in DU but Shaheed Bhagat Singh College was my 7th preference. I wouldn't say that this is a bad college as it has great infrastructure and some great faculty. I'd say my CUET numbers 720 were not so good to get me a better college. The admission process is pretty easy here. The exams for here is CUET and the cutoffs are around 720 marks here
Faculty
The faculty is overall good in college. The faculty is approcable too other than some teachers. There is no specific faculty I dislike but there are some faculty that are not so helpful. The exams here are moderate and not so tough. If you study normal the exams wont be a issue for you.
