Likes

College is in middle of city so we don't need to worry about anything
College provides hostel and mess so don't worry about food and accomodation
The campus is very green college has garden as like rose grade. And normal flower garden

Dislikes

There is nothing that to dislike about the college it has everything in it
The course is a hectic course you have to study lot
However one con is there for the college library as it is not kept open after 11pm it closes after 11

Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is an great course we can save lives of many people as we become doctor the exams are based annually there are internal exams also which takes place 3 times before the annual exams the attendance for college should be 80% to be eligible to write the final exams

Class Size: 1500Course Fees: INR 67000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship for a doctor is provided here you have to work 1 yr for internship which is compulsary after course it provides a stipend of 30000 per month however the internship life is very hectic you have to work for night shifts as well

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is total for 1st year Is 67000 However it decreases for following years as some amounts are deposits For AIQ the fees remains same for all categories but karnataka students get benefits of scholarships like ssp

Campus Life

The infrastructure provided is very good we can enjoy everything here there are many books in library there are also sports competition held And many quozes takes place and the winner gets different prizes

Hostel Facilities

The hostel registration process is very simple you just have download the hostel app and pay the fees the fees for hostel is about 2400 yearly as it is a government hostel the fees is very nominal the hostel provides room and has fan light table chair and a almirah the mess is also good the food quality is good you get eggs everyday and has chiken once in a week

The patient inflow is great in this college this college is the top college in whole north karnataka the patients from other hospitals are recommended here Other colleges have less patient flow so that's why

There are 19 subjects in the course of mbbs so there are many faculties for 1 subject there are atleast 4-5 faculties who teaches and guides the student as mbbs is not like the other courses the students learn in a hospital

It was good professors and friendly teaching staff
Campus life is good, it provide new opportunities and has events and various clubs
Everyone here are good and friendly and is a lovely place to study

Dislikes

Hospital is far from college, which is again not an issue as they send bus service
It can give and provide more opportunities
Hostel facilities can be improved and they can build few more lecture halls

I chose this course because I wanted to help the needy. Also this college provides best education for mbbs to come out with beautiful colours, they provide so many opportunities. There will be three internal assessments and one final university exam

Life as a medical student

Likes

Vydehi has the best museum with accurate specimens. VASA is main attraction of Vydehi offering simulations for basic life support, trauma management, Advanced life support, laparoscopic surgeries, delivery and many more.
Central library of vydehi has great book collection for undergrads , PGs , competitive exams etc. It is well organised and we'll maintained
Security: My favourite of all is the security system of vydehi that make girls feel safe. No strangers are allowed without being checked and hostlers are not allowed to go out without permission

Dislikes

Hostel fee: Hostel fee in vydehi is a little expensive considering the facilities provided.
Students are not allowed to leave the college premises during lecture hours which can be troublesome when they have to leave due to emergency or when classes are not helpful
Uniform: Newly introduced inform in vydehi decreases respect for interns. Patients treat intern medical officers as nurses due to uniform.o

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.

The college has been consistently ranked under top10 medical college for many decades.
The faculties and infrastructure is really top notch.
The hospital is very good in handling all the patients properly and systematically.

Dislikes

The course fee is too high for a middle class student.
The class is filled with rich students so if you have less money you can feel inferior.
The rankings which the college claims sometimes sound gimmicky.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.

Great coure , great college , better life

Likes

Library is well furnished with lots and lots of book.there is well furnished chairs and table like compartments where students can completely isolate himself and study. There are thousands of books in library
Study room is provided at the top floor of the institute. It is really clean and there are separate room like compartments where students can study well. They can even discuss in group if they want
We have a cafe inside our institute. Here we can have tea and coffee to relieve ourselves

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept

The whole bunch of colleges lies in grennery .
Hostel os very close to college , and very clean.
Insfracture is very good , very good envirnoment

Dislikes

It is situated in remote area, place in boring
Even in hostle mess is very bad , even though it is clean
In hospital patient load is low , since we are doctor's we need exp with huge no. Patient interaction

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I am in is mbbs, once I get out of college with graduation, there is a job awaiting me. Now the NMC medical brings the next exam for 3 years. All are saying it will be the toughest exam of medical since the pervious one.

I liked teaching of the cloth .It is good and also very strict.The patient input is little less when compared to other colleges
The hostel rooms are good ,spacious ,good environment
The campus is situated next to lake which makes campus more beautiful

Dislikes

Hostel food is worst chicken is also provided but taste is not good
Watchman of Subbaih behave rudely with students
There is no water filter fitted in classroom or corridor

MBBS is actually toughest course in India.It requires dedication determination.One should prepare hard to pass in examination.the exam month will be tougher there will be no sleep no food etc getting pass marks is like getting distinction

Amazing college. Well reputed and ranks the fourth best medical college in India. Faculty is priceless and very experienced. Hospital patients jntake is quite good. Many patients come from far off places for treatment. A complete new world. Safety is too good. You'll love having a life in manipal.

College that you'll never forget

I did apply for bmc banglore and mmc Mysore, but it was good for me that I got this college, as it is near to my hometown comparatively and the city I was familiar with, and kannada only being the regional language was cherry on the top. I didn't get Mysore cz my rank was not enough, and I did put kims above bmc in the second round of counselling. Once you get the admission order from kea, you have report to the college, verify your documents and pay the admission fee with tution fee and submit your original documents to the college authority. You need to have passed your 12th class with good enough rank in neet UG. Cut off for general merit is around 20k air....Read More
