Everything all about CMI

The campus location is also good as it is located in the main city near Siruseri, Tamil Nadu.

This is a three-year course consisting of 3 semesters. Each subject/course in the semester contains some points. Each student has to acquire certain minimum points to get their respective degree. The course is research-driven after which one can go for research in further institutions in India or out of India (i.e., Abroad).

There is less on-campus placement but the chance is given to all those students who wish to go for on-campus placement. Mainly the students go for higher further studies or research in many research agencies.

There are many events which are conducted and celebrated on the campus. The main festivals like Diwali, Christmas, etc. are also celebrated unlike IITs/ NITs (in which no such festivals are celebrated). In all such festivals, the campus is decorated and all students enjoy together.

The fee structure is like this: One year comprise of 2 semesters and the fee for each semester is Rs.1,00,000 which means the fee for one year is Rs.2,00,000. However, all such students who are unable to pay their fee are given a scholarship based on their family income.

I didn't opt for any educational loan but I was given a scholarship by the Institute. Based on my family income, I was awarded a 50% fee waiver.

There is a single campus for all students. This is a co-ed institute. The students from all different corners of India come here to study which means we'll find students from all different regions here. There are computer labs also lessed with high-speed internet.

The senior students are helpful to the juniors always. The students from CMI goes everywhere in the world i.e., USA, Russia, Canada, etc.

CMI conducts an entrance exam for the students to get into CMI. It is conducted every year on 15th March (whatever the day is). The test consists of both MCQ and Subjective type questions. Each year about 40-50 students are selected in B.Sc Course to get into CMI.

The faculty of the college is too good. Mostly each faculty has a Ph.D. Degree or any other higher degree. Almost all teachers are from a research background. The inside thing is faculty mainly focuses on the students which are from INMO /IMO background.
