Remarks
It's really good and nice but a non social place. One must have a thought about coming here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes the course work is very much relevant and research driven, the college is fair in terms of grading and guidance. It made me realise my interests as it gave me exposure to many topics. The college administration is very flexible & there's no attendance restrictions. The campus is small but we can see foreign students profs roaming around.
Placement Experience
I have availee one internship and will be availing one more, the internships are mostly reading/research projects while there are people who go for industries as well and get paid handsomely. The placement is also similarly good and the rate of getting it is almost hundred percent.
College Events
There are many events like cubing affiliated by world cubing organization & rapid chess and the cultural fest Tessellate is quite big there are numerous people who come to the west. We also organise STEMS an all india scholarship and talent hunt test.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. If you join through KCET, the fee will be around 70, 000. If you join through COMEDK, the fees will be 3, 00, 000. If you join through management quota, the fees will range from 3, 00, 000 to 14, 00, 000.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, I opted for Kvpy by iisc Bangalore, you have to give a scholarship test for this and top 1500 people get the scholarship of 80000 per year.
Campus Life
Campus Life is pretty chill and good as the campus is small there's nothing to go around, the gender ratio is quite low, there's one female for every 10 males, Yes there are physics and computer lab along with library. Events like plays, debates book discussion, literature workshop happen regularly, and there are many people involved in software development as well.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel and mess, the charges are 50000 per year, we get to share the room between two and the room is quite good. The mess is the part where things get worse, they provide nutritious food but the food is often uncooked and tasteless.
Alumni/Alumna
They are really helpful, and the alumni network changes year to year depending on the Batch of alumnis.
Admission
I prepared for the exam exclusively and was learning maths, the exam was only maths based and required syllabus was till 12th. You can visit the website CMI. ac. in and follow the simple procedure there. Learning Olympiad maths can also be quite helpful.
Faculty
There are 10-12 lectures a week, spread over 5 courses. The lecturers are all working in research and thus work as a fair guide towards the applications, they hold a very good knowledge of subjects they teach and they also give recommendations if you wish to apply for PhD somewhere else.
