Not worthy college

Some faculty are there to taunt students not to study. They only know how to push down and demoralize anyone. One thing I didnt unferstand why faculty play politics in college rather than teaching students.

Bipin Tripathi kumaon Institute of technology (formerly known as kumaon engineering college) is an autonomous government college affiliated to Uttarakhand technical University. The college is located amidst the serene hilly region in dwarahat in district Almora. The college has a good infrastructure with a nice studying environment. There are a total of seven departments Mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science engineering,chemical engineering,biochemical engineering,electrical engineering and electronics engineering.Also the college facilitates for MCA and P.hd. The institute offers for M.tech in some of the departments

The placements in the college are average with TCS, Emami etc visiting the campus but that can certainly be improved by a good training and placement strategy. The college has various alumni excelling in various fields. There is a good student crowd in all the departments.

Aarohan (technical fest),spardha (sports meet), prolifia(alumni meet) are some of the college fest that are held along with various departmental fests seminars and workshops which are held around and one more college fest is sintella which is very awesome fest for students

It's very much feasible and compare to private college it's like 4 years fee of this college equal to 2 year of others. But now fee is increased evrey year and it's about 37000(approx ) for a semster and no help by college.

It's usually difficult to get scholarship but campus placement improved a lot with a good pay package, but u can get scholarship by banks and not get any facility by college so u need to study hard to get scholarship by indian gov.

There are departmental blocks, administrative block, hostel building, faculty residents, central workshop, stadium, multi purpose hall, several canteens, central computer facility centre,etc. Labs of certain departments need to enhanced with proper equipments.

The institute has a total of ten hostels , seven for boys and three for girls. The hostels are equipped with all the basic facilities but nothing more than that like the ones can be found in any private college. The hostel authorities are quite strict for the rules and your outing timings. Also the campus is ragging free. The affordability of the place is high. Since the institute is situated in a remote hilly area,

Faculty was quite average but still because high tanker usually opt for this college study is all fun with good brains. And u will definitely meet your alumni on alumni meet program and they are so helpful in placement.

The campus has a well equipped central computer facility centre for easy accessibility to students.The departments have their respective laboratories. The teachers are well versed with their respective subjects but the pedagogical techniques are not advanced and updated and that needs some improvement.
