- First things that I liked about my college is that fees is very affordable according to the course .
- Infrastructure and environment is very good , in each class there is ac, wifi ,projectors .
- Teachers are very much educated and they are helpful to students.
Dislikes
- semester should be of minimum 4 months at least.
- sometimes schedule become hectic due to more no of classes
- Delay in the result is one of the issues .
Course Curriculum Overview
From my childhood only i want to become civil engineer , and jamia millia islamia is one of the best place to do civil engineering . The curriculum prepares me for the real - world appliation as there are many labs in my course that helps me connect to real world.
Internships Opportunities
There are only few companies that offers interships opportunities with stipend like building construction intership,autocad & staadpro intership , disaster management internship . The projects outcomes help us in real life .
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements . The companies visited are l&t, shree cement, BEL, OCCL , QBIT , Accenture . The highest package was 9 lpa and lowest package was 5.4 lpa and average package was 6lpa. 55% of student got placed .
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees i paid was 13875rs .The tuition fees was 2200rs and admission fees was 100 rs and library fee was 800 rs and examination fee was 1000 and other charges 9125rs . The fees of our college was very much affordable .
Campus Life
The name of the annual fest is zypher ant tech fest is devxjmi and there are many fest going on. There are large no of book available in library of different fields . Each class has ac, projector , wifi . There is cricket , football ground batminton court , table tennis and many more sports available.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good there are 8 boys hostel and 5 girls hostel. In each room there are 3 students . The meal quality is very good . Any one studynig in JMI can register for hostel and fees is around 48000 per year .
Admission
I always want to be an iitian and i have also prepared for iit but unfortunately i could not make it to iit. Then i decided to take admission in JMI in civil engineering because it is also the one of the best college to do btech its NIRF ranking is 24 .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:6 . The faculty and student relationship is very good and they are very much approachable. My favourite faculty is shamshad sir he teaches us geomatics and i like the way he teaches he interact with student while teaching. There are two exams in each semester and they are little bit difficult to pass .
Interview Experience
The criteria for getting admission on JMI BTECH is on the basis of your marks in jee mains exams . There is no exam taken by the college you have to appear in jee mains exam conducted by nta to get admission .
