Course Curriculum Overview
Just like all Indian colleges, ciriculum is outdated and boring with less emphasis on practical learning and more on memorizing. However, they've started to introduce some mind blowing courses like NVC - New Venture Creation, design thinking and climate change which is incredible and practical
Internships Opportunities
We have this PS or Practice School programme which alots students a company based on their CGPA. PS one is held after 2nd year and is of usually 2 months and PS 2 is held in 4th year which is of 6 months. Companies are generally very good with stioends as high as 4 Lakh rupees for top stuends, however the average would be around 45000
Placement Experience
Placements are the key highlights of our college, it has an incredible placement record with companies coming from all fields. The best part is anyone can sit for companies other than their discipline which makes switching industries and exploring better careers possible. Almost a 100% placement, however due to bad market some offers might get revoked in rare instances. I plan to become a Product Manager
Fees and Financial Aid
It's around Rs300000 per semester give or take, which makes it quiet expensive Hostle and mess fees - Rs40000, Tuition - Rs 250000 other fees - Rs 20000 per sem Which comes to around Rs 300000, fees is exactly the same for all the courses Around 30 percent of students get merit cum neet scholarship which really helps pay the fees. scholarship is from 25% to 80%
Campus Life
My campus life has been magical, I can't seem to remember how the years passed with thrill and learnings combined. BITS has played a huge part in shaping me for who I am today and I'm extremely grateful for all the experiences BITS has given me. I was managing director of Enactus BITS Pilani Infra is really good with awesome libraries, labs and even a brand new incubation centre for student entrepreneurs
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are basic, we call them bhawans, there are around 10 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel. We have no in or out time and can roam around the campus as we wish, we have messes nearby and a lot of shops and eateries.
Admission
As a typical JEE aspirant, I aimed for IIT, however as fate would have it I couldn't make it and was disheartened, however I got admission in BITS and it was a no brainer for me as my parents are well off and can afford the fees. I highly recommend BITS Pilani for anyone in a stable financial condition as it's gem of a college. Admission process is simple and MY BITSAT score was 248 for BE Civil
Faculty
Facult in general is quiet varied, you will easily be able to find highly accomplished people in their respective fields. Ratio is balanced too and I have seen most professors give sufficient time to students in need. I really like Professor Jyoti which is entrepreneurship teacher, she has helped me in every way posssible and I really admire her passion towards students
