Remarks

The Institute is the best in Kolkata. It ranks almost 3rd position among other Hospitality management college. I am thankful to JB Hospitality Management college by making me self sufficient and Economically independent and creating a platform in the Hospitality sector.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure has been brilliantly designed so that it can enhance the skills of the students while taking training in the course duration. The B.sc course in Hotel and hospitality management has front office management, F&B service management, Housekeeping Management. Apart from the core subjects certain allied subjects lie Hotel laws, Nutrition, Computer basics, foreign language, communication English, grooming classes, Interview giving technique training is given to make a student turn into professional. This course has helped me to get my industrial training in a 5-star property like the Marriott group which has been a great break in my professional career as a beginner.

Placement Experience

The placements are 90% done in 5-star properties with 100% written job placement guaranteed. Some most renowned companies come in the campus for interview of the students and their selection is done under the basis of eligibility, the aptitude of the student. I got the chance to do my internship in an internationally acclaimed brand as the Marriott group.

College Events

The events that take place around the year at our Institute makes college life more interesting and enjoyable. throughout the course duration, some of the other activities kept on taking place. There were many competitions that took place, along with it the festivities like Independence Day celebration, Republic day celebration, Saraswati puja, teachers day, freshers night and many more. study tours and other team building activities

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is affordable compared to the entire 3 years degree course. The fees structure includes the cost of Uniform, Journals, study material, etc. No hidden cost is charged from the student after they have taken admission in the Institute. The fees structure for the entire degree course is around 1 lac 90k approx.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship or Education Loan is given to some students who have scored high but cannot effort to take up the costly course. Though I opted for the semester payment. Bank facility can not be given to students who are not economically strong. in some fee cases, scholarships are also given to students in some selective cases.

Campus Life

The campus life is healthy and peaceful. It is very much descent for the students as well. Girls and Boys students are provided with an equal platform. Students from almost entire India come to study here. The classrooms have the facility as modern Audiovisual equipment. The student & Faculty ratio is kept as 1:20 so that each student becomes a strong professional. A high speed integrated computer Lab is maintained. Exams at regular intervals take place.

Alumni/Alumna

The students are really helpful. The coordination between the Senior student and the junior student are very strong. They share are very Strong bonding. The ex-students even share really good terms with the college authority. The seniors guide the junior students about their grooming, they help with the projects, etc.

Admission

The admission process of mine was offline. The process was easy. I got all the right support and career guidance from the admission cell. The admission process I underwent was by filling the normal inquiry form followed by a simple aptitude test. Then the student has to go through the counseling session and gets motivated. The Admission cell is very effective and has guided all throughout for my enrollment in the institute. The forms are available both online and Offline. The offline forms are accepted for the outstation student. The forms are available only for rupees 500.

The Faculties are very efficient and knowledgeable with real Industry experience and exposure. the teaching philosophy involves a complete orientation in outlook and instills professionalism as required by Industry Standard, in our student training program so that they can have a smooth transition from their student life to their professional life. The faculties train each and every student with special attention.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements.
