What Students Say

Likes

The teachers are well qualified and are very humble and easy to communicate with .
The surrounding is very good and safe for both boys and girls.
The classes are well maintained and are very clean and hygienic.

Dislikes

The administration office is very non serious about students.
The office work takes very much time for processing.
The exams are mostly delayed which affects the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

My personal interest is IOT. The curriculum prepares us for real world because our syallabus is upto dated and we only learn such things which are trending in the market right now. A subject should be included which will boost communication skills. Exams are held twice a year

Placement Experience

From 7th sem students get ready for placements and all. Tech Mahindra and IQuasar visit our college. The highest package was 25 LPA and the job profile offered was software engineer. The average package is 3 LPA. 65% of students get placed. I am planning for higher studies once my degree get's completed

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 80000. My batchmates who are from SC/ST/OBC get a scholarship of 50% which sums up to an amount of 40000 rupees annually.The 80000 rupees fees included all fees like lab fee, development fee and all other charges as well.

Campus Life

Recently a Tech Fest was organised and many students participated in it with enthusiasm. The library is full of books required for the course. The labs are up to date with latest technologies.The college also organises various types of tournaments for students who are interested. A coding club is also there in which students learn and practice coding together.

Admission

I only applied to this college because I had already made up my mind to go to this college and I had already heard about this college and its pros and cons. For admission, you have to appear in JEE and score a good percentile in order to get admission here.

Faculty

The faculties are very much friendly and easy to reach out to. Mr Hussain from ECE department is very humble. I didn't like Mr Nehra because he is kind of weird and he always shouts on students.Exams are of mediocre level and paper is fully conceptual.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

I didn't apply for other college but i had opportunities while councelling, I might go in other universities like baba ghulam shah baadshah university in my own district rajouri but the reason of rejecting that university because fee was very high there.Otherwise my opinion about that university is also amazing.I didn't get any rejection from any college.
