What Students Say

Likes

The campus environment is so good, soothing, calm.
Faculties are friendly, Loving and teaches well.
Infrastructure are good and eco-friendly.

Dislikes

Lack of cleanliness. Bathroom classroom etc are not cleaned.
Improper waste management. Waste are scattered here and there
Stray dogs, snakes etc roam around the college making unsafe for students

Course Curriculum Overview

2019 scheme curriculum is so outdated and doesn't worth studying. Latest skill improving courses and syllabus should be included in syllabus. Course duration is metioned as 6 months but it ends before 4 months so its difficult for studying

Placement Experience

After 6th semester placement starts and students securing cgpa above 7 and maximum 2 back papers are able to apply for majority of companies And placements are more concentrated for computer science students Mitsogo, ibm, electriflex, ibs, Infosys, soti etc are some of the companies came till date Highest package is 8lakh Only 20 to 30% getting placement After degree startup plans

Campus Life

Even semester have more tech related as well as other events like advyka tech fest, nahasra arts fest, dhruv sports etc and other special occasions are celebrated. There are more reference books in library and many useful books journalsetc Sports and extra curricular activities are more promoted Cluba activities are also promoted

Admission

I also applied in tkm college of engineering kollam and got chemical as well as mechanical engineering branches I was rejected from cet as I didn't meet the rank up. Admission process is based on keam rank Overall experience in admission is good

Faculty

Faculties are approachable. Friendly loving and always ready to clear doubts without hesitation. Electronics and communication facilities are the one i liked the most they are so good and support all extra curricular activities. Computer science faculties are the one i dislike they are only interested in cs students development and hated all other department students. Exams are not that easy in a semester there are 2 internal exam and one semester examination. Its only based on the syllabus so finds easy to qualify. 2019 scheme curriculum is so outdated and doesn't find worth studying

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.
