Course Curriculum Overview

It was tough... very tough.. Starting with BCA from IGNOU, i failed in 1 subject in Semester 1, then on on 2nd sem i failed in 2 subject and finally in 3rd sem i have failed in 3 subject. By that time i thought that i can't make it even BCA. But later i realise the books are dsigned for self study and with determination i completed my BCA and then MCA. You can understand the intensity of pressure by this, we enrolled 182 students in BCA at that time. The study center didn't have the space to allocate the study slots for us... But eventully only 16 of us, were able to complete MCA. My key to succeed in IGNOU was to actully devote large quantity of “self study time” in the books... and then it was be all easy..

Fees and Financial Aid

the college is overall good and fees is some high sometimes i can not afford to submit the fees thats why i have no money and i m doing part time job for my extra income and my expanes and also study.

Campus Life

Well, if you are enrolling with Ignou, you will need to have enormous patience, enroll in study groups with your batch mates for updates from the RC you are enrolled in for assignments, practical, and other updates as it varies with different centres and getting in touch with course coordinators is a daunting challenge. Sharing my experience as a learner in MA., Psychology Jan 2021 cycle & my Regional Centre is RC 13 (Bangalore, Study Centre NMKRV) IGNOU is granted with A++ accreditation & its degree has weightage compared to many other open universities.

Admission

If you do not have any obstacles in taking regular study then you need not join IGNOU. A regular mode degree is always preferred first over distance/ correspondence mode. A Technical course like Btech required lots of practical sessions and for that you need to join regular college. In IGNOU you won’t get that much of class or study support. Join IGNOU when you are already employed or having obstacle like financial problem, time problem etc.

If you study BCA at IGNOU, there are some advantages and disadvantages: ADVANTAGES IGNOU is a nationalized University. So, if you get a degree from this university, your certificate will surely get value in all states in India and also in major countries throughout the world. If you study BCA ( 3years) at IGNOU, you can complete MCA within 2 years. Otherwise completing MCA at IGNOU takes 3 years. Since the University provides distant education, you will only have to attend classes on Sundays (for practical). You can get all the assignments to download through various websites like ignou.blogspot.in, etc, etc…..

Wipro, Happiest Minds and likewise a name which we know or for that matter everyone knows existed here for placements. If engineering students want to brag 10-12 lakh annum jobs then it means they would have paid double or more for what we paid. I have already passed my graduation and working in an MNC where I was placed from campus.
