St.marys college

Siocology is my honours paper.i started this as I wanted to study about society and know more about what is happening today.Our department have only 3 teachers as of now as 2 of them got retired .I wish we get more teacher so the teacher does not feel tired as well

I'm currently in my 3rd year as a sociology honours student,with Geography and History as an elective. During my 1st year,the fee structure was around 34,000. It was a bit higher than the other art stream subject as geography have practicals.In my 2nd year,I paid around 28,000 and in my 3rd year,I paid 31,360. The fees structure of science stream is a bit higher than arts. Admission fees ,registration fees are all included in the installment so you don't have to pay them during form fillings. The college does not have its own scholarship however they assist student in applyung other govt.scholarship.

The college got so many activities throughout the year.however some of the top most activities are college week which usually held during October,orientation during the starting of the academics session,department wise programs etc..in the library we can borrow books by showing our library card which we get it by registaring in the beginning.it is free of cost .the college have ncc program,nss and many other extra curriculum activities.

I got admission in uttaranchal University in dheradun in agriculture.however it was too far from home and I was sick all the time so my mom got admission in st.marys .during my time ,we got admission on merits but now cuet is mandatory.

Most of the department are friendly .teacher are always there for the student.Honestly I really like my sociology department.we got the best teachers as well.and I don't really hate geography faculty but I dislike it as we have to stay back late for the practicals. In a semester, we have 1 main exam which is of 75 and internal test for each subject which is 25 and together constitute 100 marks for a semester.
