Course Curriculum Overview

2

Curriculum provided by ktu is not updated and we are learning outdated skills and languages if students want to improve their skills they should find time to learn but the problem is that when it comes to exam 6 months sem is always reduced to 3-4 months not giving enough time to students to improve themselves.

Placement Experience

3

Ofcourse campus placements are provided in our college last year our students got placed in UST global, tcs, Keltron etc.but the problem is that for some companies the students got placement through going to placement in nearby colleges like NSS.Placement training starts from the third year

Fees and Financial Aid

First of all GECP is a government engineering college most of the expenses are met by the government through egrantz scholarship scheme which gives monthly grands of about 2000/- to eligible students in above that pragati scholarship scheme is provided for girls which provides about Rs 50000/ year and other central government schemes like mcm, central sector aid students for there college and hostel fees. One thing to remember is that mcm, css, pragati can only applied on first year during the course remaining years the candidate should renew it but egrantz can be applied throughout all the years. **Only one scholarship is rewarded to each students

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life provided by the college is quite exquisite through different club activities, departmental activities etc. Our college Students are quite active in clubs like IEEE, GDG , Mulearn, iedc etc and the various events and hackathons conducted by these clubs provide students with hands on experience on real world secnerios these clubs also provide camps and classes on different industrially important skills

Admission

The only reason i choose this college because it is a government engineering college and it needs quite good rank in KEAM exam to get a Computer science seat. Now talking about the admission process even though it's not that much hard Students should have a proper idea about giving preference to the college while applying for admission the most important thing to note is that tje lower preference college got striked out if you got admission in any higher preference college.

Faculty

2

Talking about faculties even though most of them got their PhD's in their particular field not all of them has the ability to make the children understand the core concepts but it's not the case of all the faculties our tutors our LSD miss they are quiet good and have the ability to make the students understand the topic but at the end of the day we are college students our learning is not limited to the few benches of the class room saying truthfully 90 % of the students pass the exam by relying on YouTube classes.

From 6th semester students get eligible for campus placements. I do not know which companies visit as i have only joined this year but as what i know from the seniors the companies are looking for students with skills over marks. The average package offered is 100000-200000 per year and more than 10 companies visit per year. About 80 percentage of students are getting placed though campus placement. My plans after getting the degree is to find a job outside of india if i can

Course Curriculum Overview:

So when we consider curriculum, I was in 2015 KTU curriculum and it was not that much updated with current technology. But after there was 2019 KTU curriculum which is more adapted with current technology are better. So curriculum not only will help us to obtain real life experience, so they will need us to complete extra curricular activities which is need 100 points mandatory for course completion is there , so considering that it is a good thing. You need to do intership, courses etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to really enhance my programming skills due to which I planned to enrol for this course. The curriculum does not manage to prepare you for real world applications as most of the time they include just the most basic of examples. I wish they would take some input from students too in the curriculum creation. The internals are conducted twice in a semester along with an end semester exam. The exams are usually easy to moderately difficult.
