Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum covers the main accept of today's trend which is computer science and engineering. where it covers operating syster, data structures , java , python and more. I don't feel the curriculum is suitable for real world application because most of them are theory and practical expirence is very less. I would like to have more of it than depends on theory and marks and that won't fetch knowledge. IT tech parks as site vists and updating the curriculum to recent trends and impoving quality for teaching with respect to it . Sometimes the exams are kept without syllabus completion and it puts a lots of pressue on the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise management fees is 4,14,000/- for each year. The yearly tuition fees is 2,30,000/- for each year , College fees is 1,20,00/- , Lab fees is 6,500 , Additional fees is 40,000/- , and University charges are 10,000/- The KCET seat fees is 1,20,000 per year. On Management , there will be 5% concession if board marks in 12th is above 80%. Main scholarships avalable are state and central based scholarships , there is no college scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

There is only one fest done per year , one year as culutral fest and next year is technical fest and they are known as Swayam and Vortex respectivily. they are generally held in the month of May. We almost get all books regarding courses and digital library is also available , college spends many lakhs for digital library and provide students for the best resources. In the classroom, projectors are available and air condition is good. for any important meeting we have seminar halls with AC's provided. The only support's for VTU tournaments and doesn't support for addiotional sports events. There are groups which consist of dance, singing, google development group, literature which provide wide range of people socialise.

Admission

I had applied for CMRIT, PES and more . But i choose this college because as one of the top college they provided CSE seat with less amount as compared to other colleges. plus the transportation is also easy. This college is also first ranked in Aeronautical in bangalore. We can take addimission through KCET, Goverment Quota , Management. Overall addmission process are good and they are supportive. CSE , Aeronautical and ECE is most demanded course. Mainly for CSE 21,000 rank is the cutoff.

Faculty

4

For each branch there are 20-25 teachers , there are 8 main branches . 1:50 teacher student ratio. maximum faculties can be appoched at anytime for doubt clearance and any work , they will available till 4pm. I like about faculties are they understand student situation or what issue . they respect students deicision . I don't like about faculties are sometimes they are too strict that they don't give attendace and put us under NSSR. For each semester there are 3 internals , 2 practical exam and then SEM end practical and theory exam. The college covers the portions according to the curriculum and no burden is caused by it,

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
