Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. it helps us develop our own skills and master some pre existing skills. the exams are moderately hard, good scores can be achived by studying hard. every student is given personal attention and space.

Internships Opportunities

interships are provided after every year in college. one in first year, one in second year, one in third year and the last on fourth year. the internship is typically good and many interships are given to the people having extra talents.

Placement Experience

Placements are given every students passing out. The placement Increment graph of KIIT is going really well. Increasing drastically every year. The students of the batch passing in 2024 was offered upto 81 lakhs per year. And the average package is 8.5 lpa.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The College is 20 lakhs per semester, consisting of 8 semesters making a total of 16 lakhs tution fees. other than this we need to give hostel fees and mess fees, hostel fees is 60000 per semester, making it total 480000 for 4 years and the mess fees is 22500 per semester making it 180000 for 4 years. it is not increasing or decreasing in the time period i am studying. Scholarship of 12000 per month is given to the students scoring high ranks in the entrance exam (KIITEE). Total expenses of 4 years = 2260000

Campus Life

The overall experiences with Campus life is really good. there are different clubs for each and every talent that exists. each sports has its different teams and large number of participants. Library, gym, swimming pools are also present.

Hostel Facilities

Since i have opted for hostel with 3 beded AC premium room, The hostels rooms are really nice. they only have a issue of intimes in hostels. they provide ac in every room and attached washrooms in every hostel.

Admission

yes i choose this college over all the other private colleges in INDIA. I applied to all iits and nits through JEE but managed to score only 91.23 percentile, which was not enough to get into any good NIT with cs. In terms of placemment, KIIT's placement is far better than many NITs and a few IITs. the admission process is, after qualifying in KIITEE we get directlt admitted.

the teachers are qualified from india's top iits and nits. but some teacher's communication skills doesnt match our need. There happens 2 exams in one semester, the mid sem and the end sem. mid sem is of 20 marks and the end sem of 50 marks. rest 30 marks is internal.

IIIT Bhubaneswar review

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

one of the reason i have to say is it has its own identity. It is right now the top 6th university in the country. The kiit tag does help in applying for job. I applied to Manipal university and i did get IT in it but i didnt choose manipal because of personal issues rather than the college itself. You have to perform well in the kiitee exam. a glimpse of KIIT

i chose this college for some personal reasons, coz my elder brother was also here. other than that it provided good scholarship and the placements are very much simliar to other private colleges of the similar category. i couldnt get into government colleges for my desired course. the admission process is through KIITEE and even through JEE mains, the KIITEE has 3 phases. it is not that difficult to get CSE in KIIT and even if you get a rank under 1000 , you are provided a merit scholarship...Read More
