The greenery and facilities provided by the college
The girls boys ratio is really balanced over here

The regional biasness is a concern for someone who os coming here from other states
The mess food for the first year student are really concerning

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is not really the most relevant but the course structure is pretty good and comprehensive, the exams are also pretty well timed and papers are also a good mix of the syllabus and the lab assistantd are not that good tho

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are good in my opinion , the faculties and teachers also help in the guidance for them , the seniors are also helpfull to the juniors and guide them really well , the TA are pain in head though

Placement Experience

The college placement scene in KIIT is alright , proving a average package of 8 lakhs and going as high as 81 lakhs , the faculty also helps in participating off campus contests and internship for a student

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Our yearly fees is 4 lakhs per anum for computer science and communication and we including hostel accomodation its nearly 5.5 lakhs per anum . Scholarship is being provided to the top 1000 student , they are awarded 10000 rupees per semester

Campus Life

The campus life is really nice with nice places to visit nearby . The hotesl life is really enjoyable to live with good friends and playing all sorts of sports and games with them , though the entry of the 1 st year students are prohibited on many of the sports facilities

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are nice but some of the rooms are really small for 3 guys to live in. Many of the students arent even been provided a room for a stay they mess food not really that good , considering the food is not the most higenic

Admission

The location and proximity of this college is really good for me considering my hometown , except that the massive campus and faculty of KIIT is really nice and also taking in prespective that bhuwaneshwar is a nice place to stay

The faculty members are mostly helpfull to us , but some of the faculty who are natives of odisha have a really thick accent which makes it hard to communicate with them leaving that the profs are really highly educated and qualified

IIIT Bhubaneswar review

Placement Experience:

From the start of the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements. The placement used to be so good and the graph was increasing exponentially. But for to recession, last year's placements were not good at all. There was almost 100% placement in CSE, IT and CE branches and 80% in ETC and EEE. But due to the recession, it dropped drastically. The highest package provided on campus is 39LPA by media.net, taking only one student. The average salary used to be 12LPA which dropped to 7LPA due to the recession. The condition of placement cells is not good currently and many students are in doubt regarding their placements. Many are opting for higher studies or trying off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is good. Even I am placed in a reputed core company. Majority of the students get placed. The remaining also prepares for higher studies through GATE and CAT. Being in the capital city, the advantage of access to reputed coaching institutes also makes the college favourable. Students are eligible to sit in the placements in the final year. Though some third-year students also get pre-placement offers after doing certain internships. Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Tata Advanced Systems, TCS (Digital and Ninja), Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, JK papers, Robert Bosch etc are some of the highlights.

one of the reason i have to say is it has its own identity. It is right now the top 6th university in the country. The kiit tag does help in applying for job. I applied to Manipal university and i did get IT in it but i didnt choose manipal because of personal issues rather than the college itself. You have to perform well in the kiitee exam. yes i choose this college over all the other private colleges in INDIA. I applied to all iits and nits through JEE but managed to score only 91.23 percentile, which was not enough to get into any good NIT with cs. a glimpse of KIIT

i chose this college for some personal reasons, coz my elder brother was also here. other than that it provided good scholarship and the placements are very much simliar to other private colleges of the similar category. i couldnt get into government colleges for my desired course. the admission process is through KIITEE and even through JEE mains, the KIITEE has 3 phases. it is not that difficult to get CSE in KIIT and even if you get a rank under 1000 , you are provided a merit scholarship...Read More
