KIIT REVIEW: Opinion of first semester student

As we know in India every one is opting for computer science, so I also opted that . But I like coding and my problem solving skills are good also. Our curriculum focuses on real world problems and our curriculum also prepares us for the future placements . Exams are conducted after every 2 months and there difficulty is also moderate .

As I am in first year I don't know much about the internship , but yes there are many internship opportunities in KIIT from 5th semester . There are paid internship also but they are less in number . Sometimes students get job offers from the companies in which they are doing there internship , if they perform well .

From 5th semester students become eligible for in campus internships and from 7th semester students become eligible for placements . Many companies like TCS , WIPRO , INFOSYS, DELOITTE, VOLVO , COGNIZANT and etc visited for placements . Highest package is around 63 lakhs per annum . And more than 95 percent student gets placement . After my degree I am looking forward to join an IT company and after gaining some experience I will pursue my masters degree.

The total year wise fees thal I will be paying is 501,000Rs total , including mess fees , hostel fees and tution fees , for my course of BTech CSE(core). KIIT conducts its own entrance exam , which is KIITEE and those who scored the rank below 1000 gets 10000Rs per month as a scholarship. But your scholarship could get cancelled if you fail to pass in any subject or if your attendance is less than the criteria .

As I am in first semester I don't know about the annual fests and technical festivals . KIIT's library I just like a mint mall with loads of books . You can access variety of books and journals in the Central Library . There is one smart board and one white board in our class also every class is equipmed with cameras and fully air conditioned . KIIT has rich history of producing many Olympians because of there influence in the sports sector . Sometimes society oragnises flash mobs also .

I opted for 3 bedded non AC room . Menu is good but hostel food is sweet in taste and in other hostel's of KIIT many insects were found in the food . But all the staff are good and helpful in nature , they also maintain cleanliness in the mess . For hostel registration you have to fill hostel consent form from the website and then fill theoffline form on the reporting day .

As I tried for NIT and IIT , I realised its too hard for me , and after JEE advance result I didn't get any good govt college , so I opted for KIIT . Because my relatives and cousins were here and they told me about this college . Admission process of KIIT is very easy , first you have to register for there entrance test KIITEE , which is free of cost . Then after the entrance exam you have to register yourself for counselling and fill your subject choices . After you got your subject you have to wait for the date for further process

The Faculty to student ratio of KIIT is 12:1 . And all faculties are good in nature and they are helping too , but some are very strict also . As I am in first semester so I don't know about many faculties but all faculties which I know are good. There are 2 exams in every semester and almost every one clears the exams . Our course curriculum is based on getting placement or to achieve masters degree .
