Freshers review on gec wayanad- a first impression.

I choosed this course because it was my passion to be a mechanical engineer. The curriculum readily prepares the students for real world exposure. Semester exams takes place in 6 months and exams are students friendly too.

Major technology related companies in Kerala offer intership with stipend which is not so high comparatively. Till now I've not been in an internship so limited knowledge about intership programs.but surely there are average intership programs.

Campus Placement ratio is comparatively low and accounts about 10% . Employability is comparatively low but if you have got the skill, then you'll be placed. About 5-8 companies enquires for campus Placement every year.the highest placement in mechanical engineering last was a 12 lpa package placed in UAE.

Yearly tution fee is 18000 Admission fee including pta funds, uniform, corporate storeand transportation will be nearly 10000 Scholarships are available for students based on their annual income ( for example - E grantz)

College functions like freshers week, freshers day, I EEE. Etc are held regularly by the college and the college union. Library has access to a wide number of books and is good. Facilities and infrastructure within the classes is not good. Sports and extracurricular activities are held regularly and college is supportive.

I've scored 98.8 percentile in jee mains but due 12th eligibility criteria for 75% my admission was not possible during josaa councelling. I've took admission in my college by keam entrance exam. For getting a seat in mechanical engineering department of wayanad gec, a student should have a keam rank about 20-30k

Enough Number of faculties on the basis of number of students. There'll be 2 semester a year with 1st semester consisting of 5 papers. Exams are easy and comfortable for students as per the newly revised syllabus of KTU. Usually 2-8% students fail to clear the exams.
