Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I would rate it 9/10 apart from the things taught in future because that's just too basic. From sy they primarily focus on you specialisation and make sure have both theoretical and prectical knowledge about the same.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are alot of internship offers. I got one in FY from the induction itself and I really liked it. It wasn't related to my field but that was exactly what I wanted to do. I hosted a few events over there to get rid of public speaking fear but after that I got busy with my studies so didn't really explore much.

Placement Experience

3

They do offer campus placements, I don't really know much about it in detail but companies like Deloitte and E&Y along with other top tier companies also do come for interviews and as per the their induction the average package is about 5 lakhs pa.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a student for Bcom majoring in Costing and my fees for fy was 31,000 and for sy was 32,000. So there's an increase of 1000 and majorly all the specialisations have the same fees except for the ones who have opted for ACCA. Their fees is around 1,20,000 per year and even this increases the same way ours does. I didn't avail any financial aid.

Campus Life

2.5

As I said the campus is a bit too small alot of things can be included in it but the auditoriums and classrooms are quite good. There's a library, canteen, and everything else a college has just that it's small.

Admission

I'm pursuing bcom parallel with CA so the main thing was about attendance and the fact that I should get a college life too. The admission process was very smooth, nothing went wrong there. And yes there is no problem of attendance, you just need to submit the assignments on time and I did get my college life too. So it was the right choice

Faculty

3.5

The students enrolled in the course of Bcom is alot. There are divisions from A-F covering all the specialisations and each division has a minimum of 80-100 students. The exams conducted are quite straightforward, it isn't that difficult. From sy they focus more on your specialisations and various assessments are given regarding the same.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
