Course Curriculum Overview

5

The coursework is very to the point considering the current times. I would say it's very relavent. We are provided with on field experiences through field trips. We also have subjects like open elective and Indian knowledge system that gives us worldly insights

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship opportunities are usually provided during second year and the roles depend on your specialisation. We usually get internships from EY GDS, Deloitte and other IB's. We are told to work side side the project managers and accountants

Placement Experience

5

The placements are meticulous. We have placements from Deloitte, ey gds, BP, icici bank, spring energy and many other big companies and investment banks. The min package is of 7 lac per annum and the highest goes up to 30 lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying ?32,000 for my BCOM course which includes everything except hostel fees. For other courses the fee's ranges from 20,000 to 2,00,000 yearly. There are courses like BA in psychology, economics and English. BCOM with specialisation in HRM,marketing, costing, banking and bcom integrated with ACCA, CMA and business analytics

Campus Life

5

We have amazing events here at scac as someone who is very active in college I guarantee you will have a lot of fun. Other than the college fest we have individual club events and you get a lot of opportunity to learn and gain experience and over the time you will have a lot of contacts too

Admission

I wanted to study bcom and there was no other college in Pune that was providing an option of doing bcom but having a specialisation in it. SCAC is a college that doesn't leave you unsatisfied you'll always love the faculty, people and especially the events

Faculty

4

As a student majoring in HRM I really love the faculty, they are always ready to listen and help. College conducts two exams yearly. 45 marks are for internals and 30 for externals ie your exams. In case of backlog barely 10% students get backlog and even if they do the process of clearing it is very meticulous. Till now there hasn't been one faculty that I didn't like

Night Life

5

We have a great gym and we have separate girls and boys hostel. The locality is very safe for students as it is mostly a student area and the everything is very accessible from medical shop to malls we have everything near our campus. When on budget you don't need to worry about food we have great food stalls and places near our college

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
