A review of the National institute of engineering Mysore.

The college is good and bad in its own ways. It's the second oldest college in Karnataka. Being said that the college is very famous among its counterparts. As per the negative views, the campus is small. The college is now going to get university status and is getting another new campus very soon.

The course is pretty good. It's one of the top 3 courses in the engineering field. The exams are usually held 3 times every semester. And then the best of 2 is taken from these 3. And then there's a sem end exam that happens at the end of the semester.

The placements are all pretty good. The college has a placement department that takes care of placements during the 8th sem. The college allows students to take part in internships. There are students who get paid and unpaid considering their skills.

There are numerous events that happen every year. The biggest one is techNieks organized by the technical department of the college. The fest is for 3 days and once in a while in a year other branch fests also take place.

The fee structure is very economical. And as compared to most of the college's, the fee here is pretty cheap. It had three types of fee structure. One for KCET students, one for comedk and one for management students.

The college provides scholarships for students with certain categories. And other facilities as such. The scholarships need to be applied online to the required scholarship portal. And then a fee waiver is done. And you'll get a refund from the fee.

The college has a lot of labs and activities. Regularly there are sports and extracurricular activities that happen in the college. And the college also encourages students to take part in all activities actively.

Yes. The hostel is newly renovated. And the hostel facilities are really good. There are 3 blocks placed very close to the college. And there are two girls hostel. One inside the campus and one outside the campus.

The seniors are all very friendly and they help the juniors when the juniors need any help. The alumni consist of a few very famous personalities in India. The alumni visit once in a while to the college.

The faculty for certain branches are fully experienced and are mostly from IITs, NITs, and IISc Bangalore. So the college comprises a mixture of good and experienced teachers and newly joined teachers.
