Remarks

DTU Management is one of the most commendable ones. They work very hard to maintain the name of the organization. A very well organized and strategic functioning is executed by DTU Management. Overall DTU is one of the renowned University for a reason. It features in the top 10 engineering colleges across the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum and the exam structure is well organized and well prepared. Enough space is given to the students for them to grow, the first half of engineering is about imparting the basics. Seconds half involves more precise and research-driven learning. Overall the faculty, as well as the resources available, are enough for one to grow. There're enough choices third year onwards, departmental electives and open electives, also the MOOC courses so one is open to all the options and can pursue what he/she likes.

The placement record of DTU is quite lucrative. For the strong academic reputation, it possesses, all the MNC's visits DTU. Almost around 80% of the students who sit for the placements get placed.

College Events

5

There're three major events. Cultural fest, Sports Fest and Literary Fest. Then there's sports meet and various events going on in the Auditorium throughout the year. Engi fest is the biggest fest in North India. There's a complete concert, it's a three-day event which involves some Bollywood singer on night 1, followed by a Punjabi Singer on night 2 and an Engish band, basically the EDM night!

Academic Fees without hostel YEAR 1 138000 YEAR 2 151000 YEAR 3 166000 YEAR 4 191000 Traveling expenses comes around 3-4k/month Food is subsidized but still another 2k/month Overall the entire engineering comes around 8 lac. Books another 2k for the entire semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

There's a panel which sits every semester and they call the applicants one by one. Based on the authenticity of the situation, the students are given discounts and sometimes their fee is waived off. For loans, one can easily get them, SBI bank has a branch inside the campus. Submitting all the documents, as the allotment letter etc one can have applied for the loan. Scholarships are given on the basis of merit.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life in DTU is quite lively. Throughout the year, there're events going out on the campus. Debates, poetry, comedy, drama, etc are events which take place throughout the year. People who are renowned in their respective fields are being invited to judge as well as perform.

Alumni/Alumna

DTU has a vast alumni network. And yes, they're very helpful. To name a few Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder Paytm and actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Pepperfry CEO Ambareesh Murthy are the notable ones. DTU has got its alums in all big firms and institutions.

Admission

JEE MAINS is the entrance exam that gets you admission in DTU. Based on the ranking obtained in JEE, allotment is done in a round wise manner. A choice list needs to be filled first where one's supposed to arrange all the branches in their preference order. All this is done on the JAAC website. After every round, a branch is allocated if one's ranking falls in the range of that particular branch. The admission process takes place in July.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is very well trained and possess a rich source of knowledge, especially in the physics department. The entire teaching fraternity is well driven to impart their knowledge to the best of their abilities. There's enough authority and resources available to them so that they can work with more freedom.

Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree
