Likes
- I liked the labs in aspect of cleanliness, area, materials availability, scientific apparatus etc. The college capmus is good for Daulat Ram college and also many activities fests and sports events occur. Some teachers are also very respectful.
- Teachers help us with all sort of problems be it academic, personal or any classmate related.
Dislikes
- I disliked the environment created by the students who are politic and can go to any extent to prove themselves right in front of the teacher even if they are wrong and will not accept their mistakes,but again,that is a personal matter not college.
- The washrooms are sometimes untidy and smelly.
- Drinking water provided to students is not safe and the taste is also very awful.
Course Curriculum Overview
BSC life sciences is a very easy course and we can go to any field that we want after this. We do not have any specific or a particular field. We do not have to be restricted to one thing we can always try in different fields after this course. also if we have taken maths in 11th and 12th we can go for Chemistry or any other Subject that requires maths after studying to papers of maths in college, which is a very good way to choose our masters course according to NEP
Internships Opportunities
I have received two internship opportunities in my college itself in the science field. The internships are based on the cancer culture and also making a medicine for the cancer cells. I have completed one of my internship and the other internship is ongoing, and that will be included in IAPC which will benefit me later when I'll have my Published papers
Placement Experience
we can get placement in the college after completing the degree. there are many big companies that have visited the college for the placement and yes, people have received good placements. I am not sure about the highest package, but it does ranges between 40,00 to 50,000. I will be pursuing my masters after completing this degree
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees is approx ?20,000 for general category. And examination fees is around 3,000. It does increase by a 1000 or so in one year. There are scholarship available for east indian students and also for SC and ST.
Campus Life
my overall experience for this college is good, but not great because there are less sports activities and infrastructure is also quite nice but only in the lawn and ground and auditorium area. Otherwise the classes could have been better but the labs are the best. The labs are clean and everything in the college is clean except for the Washrooms they are a little untidy and not cleaned properly sometimes.
Admission
I chose Daulat ram College because it was close to my house as it is the north campus also. but yes, there are other colleges also better in South campus than Daulat Ram College, but it would again be very far away from my house. I got Gargi in my first list, but it was two hour distance from my house so I preferred Daulat ram College as it was near.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio would be 1:30 because every 30 students are provided with one mentor that is their personal mentor who help them with their personal things related to academics or anything that they want to discuss for their future goals. some faculties cancel the class at last moment, which is very frustrating and that is a point I don't like some of them. exams are also conducted on a very medium level. They are not very difficult or very easy, but if you have studied and want to attempt any answer, you will be able to do it very easily, and all the questions are related to the course curriculum.
