Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course since I had very keen interests in Software side of Engineering and i wanted to make it my life work. I got this branch of Software Engineering at 11.7K rank and I am an Outside Delhi Region student. Yes, the curriculum does prepare us for real world application and industry but it's never gonna work if student does not pay attention in class. Have to say that the curriculum of this course is the most easy of all others which is good thing. Faculty of this course are mostly PHD and M-tech scholars so the teaching methods an class teaching is not good. Exams here are held according to the yearly calender released by DTU. And the level of Exam is fairly easy and comes mostly from previous year papers.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Mircrosoft offer on campus internship with stipend of above 3 lacs per month. I dont exactly know the role of intern since i donot currently have one but its mainly a intership with web development. Also the CGPA should be good since only top 5% student get on campus internship. CGPA should be above 9.0.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is the most famous aspect of this college being so underrated DTU offers good placement opportunities and almost 40-50% students gets placed in package of above 15 LPA and 20% of students get placed in nearly package of 30 LPA and above. Criteria depends company to company but safe cgpa is 8.5. You will be eligible for every company. This year Google came at the starting of placement season and offered placement to 4 student with package of above 40 LPA. Microsoft, ARM, Nvidia also visits campus for placement. Mass recruiter here is Accenture, infosys and TCS. My plans is to get good placement from college and then if needed then only go for post graduate degree. Highest package (domestic): 80LPA .

Campus Life

5

Campus life is best in DTU. Fest happens here almost every month by different societies. Yuvaan, Invictus and the most famous Cultural Fest of North India Engifest where big super stars and famous singer comes every year. Library has great collection of books and is truly the most peaceful place in whole campus. All Classroom have Ac and stair case structure so that all students can clearly see on black/white board. Sports are greatly encouraged here, DTU has a team for every sport and even every athletic team. Societies are the clubs here run by students and here most of these clubs are active and is a great place to socialize and connect with others. Some of these are Yuvaan (fest society), Reflect (Cinematography society), Cultural Council, E-cell(Entrepreneurship society), IEEE, Round-Table and more. Here are some tech team which go to compete in other colleges and foreign : UAS(Air drone society), AUV(underwater drone society), TDR (Race-Car making society) and more.

Admission

I cleared Jee mains with a score of 99 percentile. I chose this college for it's good placement and good exposure for it being situated in delhi. Its only bad aspect is that the reservation for inside delhi students since cut off for them is pretty low. I got this college at 11.7k rank in mains. But you can get the college at 93 %ile in biotech or civel. To get this college apply for Jac Delhi counselling.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
