What Students Say
Likes
- The engagement of seniors, faculty and other students are the best things, the teaching methods are just normal can't say they are best. But worth it
- The placements that we heard from seniors was so good like everyone leaving this college was getting a decent amount of package
- The curriculum was worth it , not so complex just the perfect way , and we even get enough time for co curricular activities
Dislikes
- The infrastructure and the college life is not so great and needs to be developed
- The mess food only consists of veg items even the canteen doesn't provide any non veg stuff
- The area of NIT delhi is very less when compared with other NITs like NIT Rourkela and warangal
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was Quantum mechanics, time dilation, and Coding were the major reasons why I have chosen this course I have a lot of interest in these type of stuff The curriculum main objective is only to make application in real life and most faculty also try to make sure to give new models so that we can try our application skills So the area is ethics , because we are not getting why the course is for and the way they teach doesn't imply that it's ethics so just need to give more information The exams always comes with in 2 months of a new semester and it's pretty common in all other NITs and it's ok we can manage the exams with that sort of syllabus and curriculum knowledge
Internships Opportunities
Amazon, TCS, Delhivery, Adobe and other companies offer internships , and also many start-up companies also give internship opportunities to the students When it comes to the projects and outcomes the success is not so good , and we need to get in contact with a lot of people, so like HACKATHON and etc are always welcomed
Placement Experience
Unlike IITs our college placement starts from the 7th semester and only 7th and 8th sem students get eligible for campus placements Major recruiters and companies visited are Amazon, Adobe, Cisco, Delhivery, media.net etc , and the number of offers made. And can't say the exact number of offers made but placement percent is 66% The highest package offered is 62 LPA and the average package is around 15.62 LPA Percentage of students who got placed last year is 66% My plans after getting a degree is settle in abroad
Fees and Financial Aid
I will be paying 1 lakh 96 k yearly The fee be like 1. Admission fee 2000 2. Development fee 5000(per semester) 3. Examination fee 1500(per sem) 4. Lab fee computer 1500(per sem) 5. Tution fee 0(for sc/st/PWD) 20833(for OBC/ews) 62500( for general) 6. Hostel fee 38000 (Non A/C) 48000(A/C) Total institute fee is 15500 No other financial aid (specified)
Campus Life
The name of fests that are more often conducted are radio mirchi , anveshna ,and ZEEL the radio mirchi is mostly conducted in the monrh of September, and ZEEL in around November and December When it comes to library part the books only consists of all the computer related and other stuff like biography and encyclopaedia are not at all included in the library The sports are most popular among students in NIT delhi which includes max sports like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, carrom,chess,8ball pool etc The clubs are so less when compared with other NITs like only 8-9 clubs are available like the technical club, cultural club ,and if you are looking for club oriented then it's not the better choice
Hostel Facilities
The room facilities are wifi of 10mbps, 1 washing machine for a floor, and one geaser for à floor and I live in a non ac hostel so we don't have ac and it's 2 memberd, but AC is 6 membered The meal and food is quite ordinary and not too good , moreover the campus doesn't provide any non veg like chicken so non vegetarian may face problems The registration process is directly done at the college at the time of admission and you can get into the hostel if ur affordable of about 38000 per semester My hostel is located in SRHC HOSPITAL,NARELA, DELHI,
Admission
Ok I applied for many colleges which includes NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy,NIT Rourkela and even IIIT allahabad,IIIT jabalpur etc and I got the CSE course in IIT jabalpur but it's NIRF rank is not better than NIT Delhi , so I choose this Yah got rejected in other colleges like NIT Trichy and other NITs because my score in JEE MAINS was so less to get admitted into that colleges The admission Process that I went through was to write a decent percentile in JEE MAINS and then through JOSAA counseling The eligibility for this for Sc/ST/PWD was to minimum 90 percentile and for OBC/EWS 97 and general 98
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is like 1:21 ,and the faculty are so friendly with the students as of now ,they even help them when we call them through phone The name of the faculty that I liked was KARAN SIR and SURABHI MAAM , i liked because their teaching style is different and are more friendly with the students Ok as of now I can't name any faculty everyone was good (atleast) The exams are of moderate not as tough as the IITs but can be hard sometimes. And yes the course curriculum matches with the exams, coming to the failure rate the percentage of failure in exam is 6% in whole campus
