Remarks

Talking about negative about the negative remarks the only negative this is that if you are feeling hungry at 2 am then you won't be any night canteen max to max if you want to have something you have something till 11 pm.

The College provides a variety of courses though I belong to engineering background I can only guide you that only, the college provide engineering course in 1.CSE 2. IT 3. ME 4. ECE. talking about the exam structure that is as per the cirriculam provided by IKGPTU Jalandhar.

Placement Experience

Though I know how important this question is for someone who is choosing a college and planning. Well, the PLACEMENTS is the ACE this attracts the students towards this college. Till now i.e Feb 2019 More than 350+ companies have visited so far with a package varying from 3.5 lacs to 28 lacs. Right now I am an 8th sem student and talking about my experience with placement and all, Right now I have 6 offer Letters of various MNCs and right now at the time of writing this review i.e Feb 2019 I am doing my internship only. So my suggestion is that you have to have a good Apti & Logical and fluent English skills and crisp hands on the subject line if you are a CSE student you should have a good grasp over CSE domain subjects like OS, Programming, Dbms and Networking.

College Events

So many events occur on a regular basis college provides ample platform to show off your talent and shine there are various festivals that are also celebrated like 1. Lohri 2. Holi 3. Diwali The various fest also takes place like the annual fest i.e PARIVARTAN is one of the grand fests of college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is moderate and if compared to some other private colleges it is good with respect to the facilities they provide like proper guidance and good placements all how the fee structure is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much in regard to that Loan facility but yes I know one of my friends has availed that facility and talking about the scholarship there are scholarship provided on regular basis like to some brilliant students based upon their performance.

So much extracurricular activities occur like singing dancing and various fest also occur that provide you an ample platform to show your skill and talent. Talking about labs they are neat n fully available facilities. Sports facilty is good

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I availed the hostel facility, it is a quite mixed response of positive as well as negative, some hostels Are very and quite an environment but some of the hostels are really pathetic in terms of cleanliness and nuisance.

Yes, all of my seniors were helpful they keep me motivated and guided me in the right direction and due to their proper and regular guidance I have been able to achieve the various job offers and that keeps me motivated.

Faculty is really very cooperative and helpful through the foundation of maintaining at least 75% of attendance because in that case if you are not able to maintain the 75% attendance criteria you will be detained in the fortnight and if you keep on getting detained you will be finally debarred from final end sem exams.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

I chose Chandigarh Engineering College Laundry over the other due to its strong placement record affordable structure and good industry connections first up I applied to Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University but found C see more cost effective with a well structured curriculum.
