Suvey report of Hooghly Mohsin College

Through my overall view, I give a positive remark about my college, also my college is "A" graded by NAAC. A very few institutions get this grade. The infrastructure and facilities are one of the best in my college. I am very grateful to my college.

Merit List

In my college, besides Physiology, there are so many subjects here from science, arts & commerce background. Every course can be learned very carefully here. Laboratory & library facility is available for all students.

No, my college does not provide an internship. Internships are basically not a part of degree college, in a very rare case degree college provides this. So I do not have any experience with internships and stipend.

As my college is a degree college, so it do not provide direct placements & job opportunities. After graduating from here, students can find their own way of opportunities in professional life. Many ex-students are well established inside and outside of our country.

There are mainly five big annual events celebrated in my college. 1. Saraswati Puja 2. Fresher's welcome 3. College annual fest 4. Congratulations ceremony of meritorious students 5. Annual sports event

The fee structure is extremely low and feasible, it can be afforded by any financial background family. The main reason is that my college is a government college, so the West Bengal state government grants a huge donation here.

As my college is a government college, so the fee structure is very low that the students from any financial background can afford this, so college does not provide any loans but the government scholarships for economically background students provided as I received 1 of them.

The laboratory and library are very good, many samples and books are kept here that are very useful for students, also college provides NCC (National Cadet Corps), in college premises, there is a badminton court & a basketball court present.

My college has 2 hostels but only for gents. 1. Kanailal Dutta hostel (Only for Hindus, capacity- 53 students) 2. Zachariah hostel (Only for Muslims, capacity- 16 students) Both hostels have their own canteens & interior infrastructure like bedroom, the bathroom is well.

Alumni society is very active, senior students are very helpful, they helped us in various college projects and assignments, also in laboratory work, if any student has queries they always help them, they are looks like a friend, philosopher, and guide.

My college is under The University of Burdwan. There is an annual examination conducted by the university. Also, there are so many college internal examinations and class tests are going on a regular basis.

When I get admitted here, it was the year 2011. In that year, I passed higher secondary examination. The students who applied here, all of their name are published in merit list on the basis of higher secondary examination scores. Then college gave a date of counselling, through that process I am able to get admission here.

My college provides one of the best faculty here in all over West Bengal, as this is a government college, so well experienced faculties from all over the state are present here, they are as good as in behavior also.
