Dr Moopens Medical College, Study Medicine in the Heart of Nature

The MBBS course follows the CBME curriculum, that is the Comptency Based Medical Education curriculum of 2019 as laid out by NMC, National Medical Council It is composed of various competencies that are covered over the course duration.

All MBBS students must undergo one year of internship at their connected hospitals. We have the same here. A year of internship through various medical specialties. General medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and many more.

Yearly tuition fee is nine lakh forty five thousand with hostel fee being one lakh and some other fee adds the total up to nearly eleven lakhs. OEC, SC, and ST students do not have to pay any tuition fee, only hostel fee.

The campus life here is superb. You often hear that medical students don't have any fun but that's far from the truth, we have various sport events, arts fests, workshops and we celebrate every major festival on campus.

Hostels here are very spacious, with large rooms, and connected bathrooms. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned on a weekly basis by the cleaning staff. And any maintenance issues are fixed promptly. All of this is free of cost as well.

I picked this college because it is a part of the Aster chain of hospitals and the exposure we recieve is incomparable. In addition to that, the incredibly beautiful scenic landscape of wayanad that our college is set in, is the perfect study environment.

The faculty here are superb and highly qualified. Because this is a residential campus most teachers live on campus and are easily accessible at any given time. The exams are of moderate difficulty.
