Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum the government set for us was a mess. It was so,since we were the batch that joined during the time of covid and so everything was messy. Also it kinda never improved since in our third year the withdrew two exams last minute and added it to our already hectic final year.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year I paid a sum of 9.2 lakhs,it included our mess and hostel fee also which came around 1.1 lakhs. In second year the fee came to around 8.2 lakhs, mess and hostel fee decreased by about 10000 rs. The same fee pattern as that of 2nd yr followa for 3rd and final yr as well. Nb. There is a 10 %hike in college fee allowed by government in private colleges every year...so while calculating expenses keep that in mind.

Campus Life

2.5

College activities flourish under the initiative taken by the respective college union. So we have had best and worst times in the college. Massive line up of top artists have performed in our college making it fun for everyone.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms and set up is great. But the hostel timings are different for girls and boys . Also the food quality reduces every year like the first year we had the best food among all these years. Also gastroenteritis become a part and parcel of consuming mess food.

Admission

Basically the year that i joined this college it was said that this college would be converted to a government medical college which is why most of us with good ranks joined this college... So that didnt happen and by the time we realized this we couldn't do anything about it.

Faculty

2.5

First year. It is a bit hectic this year since we are only getting to know things and so things can be too much to handle. But all my professors in that year was exceptional. Especially the faculties in anatomy department. Second year. We had a pharmacology hod who made it hell but thankfully he transferred... Apart from him all the faculties were approachable and understanding. Third year. A laidback year with good professionals to take care of you. Final year. Hectic year with very vast subjects and so the professors naturally act up...

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is very good and it covers everything that is needed to become a doctor. The exams are quite difficult which is needed. Even if anybody fails the exam they keep another one in a month which allows us to save a year and continue with the rest of our peers

The curriculum we follow is cbme and they provide with us a better competitive areas and competancy based learning. We have feild works and community works than the collge areas . Will let the student to think out of the frame . The exam that are held in colleges are mostly difficult bout not that difficult that an average peraon can acheive mark if they work hard or give their mind to the subjects.

It's a rather strict college, so if you're looking to have a lot of fun and no pressure, this wouldn't be the place for you. The Amrita University is well known abroad, and would be beneficial if you're planning a post graduation abroad.
