I dont know about other streams, but our teachers are amazing.
We have made fair share of contacts here.

Dislikes

Too many people. Our course has 10 people but the total population of the college is too high
Its not the college but the weather here in Chennai is really hot.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose BS Physics, because it has research prospects. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that it encourages us to keep learning and it also provides the right motivation. Last year we had National physics conclave, here in SRM and we had professors researchers from all over India, to enlighten us on what they were pursuing

Class Size: 10Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have internship opportunites in our 3rd year of college. As I am a student of 2nd year I dont know much about the internship part. But our teachers do tell us and help us finding new prospects in research and sometimes even invite us to work with them.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a Student of SRMIST, Chennai, I am studying BS physics. We have a yearly fees of Rs 55000(excluding exam fees). The exam fees are near to 1.5K for semester exams. Lab fee is included in our yearly fees. During admission we had to pay Rs 5000 for the admission.

Campus Life

We have top class labs and faculties. State of the art classrooms. Other than the classes, We have several canteens and cafes within the campus. SRM university is like a town in itself. We also have several cultural events, tech events and a lot of other stuffs too.

Admission

My Reason was simple, BS couse. Its different than other normal BSc courses and our course work is different too. It allows us to directly pursue Phd or Pursure Phd after 1 year of MS. India had really less no of colleges which offer BS in The sciences.

Faculty

We have top class faculties. Some of them are IIT graduates or even IISc graduates. Moveover most of the teachers enjoy teaching their subjects and are really good at it. They are working on so many cool and insightful projects and they also encourage us to learn from them.

IIT Madras is magnificent!!

Placement Experience:

Apollo Hospital to Greens and many medical and hospital which are engaged in hospitals or building technology that supports it. Our course is still not that old and in the batches that have passed out so far, I think the average stands at some 10 lakhs or so.

IITM BS DEGREE - a game changer in distant education

Placement Experience:

After the sixth test students become eligible for the campus placements, there are many companies. Many high-level companies who visit the campus like the Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and TCS Infosys and many more the number of marriage, I can tell you the ratio, one students get approximately 8-9 offers. The highest package was approximately 1.0 2CR.

Placement Experience:

BS in data science students have completed their 1st batch and got highest placement of 23 lacs and average of 8 lacs . So placement of electronic system will also revolve around this figure. After 3rd year students are eligible for placements. Most of the Bengaluru based tech company visited for this degree holders. I have a plan to go for higher studies abroad after completing this degree.

Everyone got placement somewhere or in campus in different paths . For a good placement like 70 la.khs to 1 crore you need to study from 1st year . Study means do your homework time to time and follow the faculty. Highest package 7 crore Average package 25 lakhs Minimum package 10 lakhs Companies like - meta, Amazon , Google ,tata all big , medium , and small companies arrived because it's iit madras ( nirf -1 ) Students become eligible for placement in 4th year. My plan is for startup.

Placements in IITs are commmendable. Our average package is 22 lacs overall. Coming to my branch. Highest package offered was 55 lacs and lowest was 6 lacs . Average package offered was around 15 lacs per annum. Many companies including Google, Microsoft, Goldman sachs etc. visit here for campus placements.

It's online yes, it's called the first copy IITians

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics are low for now as the course is new but the highest package as far as I know was 25 lpa and avg package is around 8-9 lpa. It's not really about the package but the opportunities IIT Madras opens for you. My plan is to get a master's degree in the same field and continue from there.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

I chose this because of good placements and they have average of 7.5 lakhs.Compare to vit vellor or any other collage srm has good placements and good way to explore.To get admission we need to pay 10000 rs to lock the seat and then aftee filling the forms we need to pay hostel and collage fees....Read More

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. Person with expectations, College full of regrets

I choose this college because it had a great placement record than any other tier 3 college in the NCR region. The Student Life at SRM IST

I am a dropper, I got 75k something rank but that year cutoff for the colleges in Delhi skyrocketed for general category like nothing before. So I didn't get any college in Delhi, took a drop and applied then here at this college and Amity University Noida. I cleared both bht I preferred this college over Amity University because of many reasons - fees, cultural activities, student crowd, placement.
