Faculty is nice. Specially teachers of my department are very helpful and kind.
Extra curricular activities are there.. Students can join NCC etc

Dislikes

Infrastructure can be improved. The washrooms ate not clean. Common room is not that clean. Classrooms can have better infrastructure

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed bcom because tbh there were not much options available and i was not sure about mba so i didn't wanted to join bba course as it's not that versatile and i had interest in finance and bcom explores finance more so i choosed it. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. The marking i would say is not that generous though.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for bcom program is around 5500 per year. For my last year i paid 5470rs.. within this fees all the charges are included. Students get schorships of swami vivekananda merit cum schorship. The amount given is 12000rs per year. It's a scholarship given by state govt. My batchmates from BBA and BCA department have a higher fees I don't know the exact number but it's around 150000 for 3 years.

Campus Life

My overall experience was average. Campus life is also decent. Library has lots of books you can issues semester books from there. Annual event happens every year in the month of feb. Faculties in the classroom is average. I haven't participated in sports so i don't have much idea about that. There are few clubs which you can join.

Admission

I wanted a clg near my home so i choosed thus college. One more reason was that attendance of 75% was not that strict in this college as compared of other colleges. for admission you can apply from the college website. You will have to fill the application form from there and after the list arrives you can check if you got your name into the list

Faculty

My department faculty is good. Generally here student don't attend much classes so I can't say that much about faculty to student ratio but i have noticed that the ratio is not that good. Exams happens only semester wise(external exam) before that you have to give internal exam in college. Out pattern was different but recently pattern has been changed due to NEP policy so i can't say much about new pattern. Exams are comparatively easy if you study decently as well you will manage to score good

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

BBA course review at BB college Asansol

There is no specific eligibility of this course if you have passed out from Commerce stream rather atleast you have 45% marks in HS in overall subjects .The application form will get at every cyber Cafe to take admission and then you have to visit College at BBA department office to Book your seat after filling form in cyber Cafe.The semester fees you have to pay in college at BBA department office .There is no problem to take admission whether you come from any Cast .In my opinion I want to see full admission process at cyber cafe....Read More
