Likes

College Is pretty decent the teachers are responsive and they support the students as well
For even a small government college the placements are enough for normal living of a person

Dislikes

They should give more importance to sports and other curricular activities as well
And they need to proper maintain the college buildings as some places it looks really bad cause of not proper maintenance of the walls or the place of the college

I choose Bachelor of commerce honours accountancy because i was pretty interested in accounts and want to study further more taking that subject. Qualification of the faculty is also pretty decent it is a 3 year course and there are 6 semister divided in 6 months group. On every 6 month there is a semister and the difficulty level is that much if you study well then you can get through it pretty easily

Around 5th or 6 th semester students are eligible for campus placements some of the government companies and private companies also comes for hiring their employees from the college . The average package a Student can get from here is 20000-40000 per month .and almost 10%-15% students get their job placements from this college every year Along with B com honours I am also enrolled in CA so I would first carry on my course

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently I am in 2nd year where the forest year fees was 5210 and 2nd year fees was 5380 and for third year I am not sure but it will be around 5500. You can also opt for government scholarship in this college like Swami Vivekananda scholarship or kanyashree. I had applied for scholarship in Swami Vivekananda and I got ?12000 per year for three years.

Campus Life

Regular fests as well as annual programs are also held in this college where you can participate as well. Sports and extra curricular activities are not given that much importance here but they are not that bad either and students unions are run by the the senior students of the college for the maintenance of college or if any students faces some problems.

Admission

if you get selected in the college list then you can pay the admission amount for your admission in the college. You can find the the admission form and all in the official website of the college name bb college .com . You have to pay one year fees in single time and there are a lot of of facilities available as well like there are chemistry lab , biology lab and a big Library as well as a big play ground

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.
