Course Curriculum Overview
They teach the course and also the students need to put an effort. Some of the branches got good industry exposure. The curriculum was very useful. The course helps the students to get profound knowledge on the particular field.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, College does provide internship offers. At my time, companies like Libre Wireless, Cisco, Dell, etc came for internship offers who eventually absorbed us to full-time jobs. You can also work as an intern for other companies out of college too.
Placement Experience
The college has an excellent placement cell. Most of the students from my batch and my senior batch were placed in one or more companies. Nearly 80 to 90 percent of the students get placed every year. Salary offered ranges from 3,50,000 per year to 16,00,000 per year. Top companies including Dell, Robert Bosch, Adobe Systems, Netcracker technologies, McKinsey and many more offer the best of packages. Students were offered software developer and research related jobs. Internship opportunities are also good. The placement cell provides overall guidance to students.
College Events
There are four fests happening in a year, two of them being technical and two cultural festivals. There are various other events conducted throughout the year by IEEE and other teams in college. Even scholarships are offered to suitable students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is very less as it is a government college. Per semester it is 25,000 for general category and subsequently lesser for others. Exam fees are 2000 per semester. Overall all students find the fee structure feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
I know of a scholarship Vision Uvce that is being offered to suitable students. Applications are taken and selection of students is done multiple rounds of interview. Also, a fee waiver is available for category students.
Campus Life
Labs are average, and now under renovation. Sports are encouraged under Bangalore University. I have been part of the volleyball team and have played for 3 years. There are also other activities conducted throughout the year by various teams.
Hostel Facilities
Infrastructure is nearly a century old. Currently, the whole college is under renovation as it crossed the 100-year mark. There are sufficient classes, labs, Wi-Fi, etc. Quality of classrooms, hostel, and canteen is average. I have not faced any infrastructure issues in my graduation.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, senior students are very helpful. There is an alumni association as well on the campus. They actively take part in college festivals and other related works. Senior students help in placements, course-related and other required activities.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is decent. Overall marks per semester are 1000, including theory papers and lab exams. The exams are conducted in December and June, with a gap of a day or two in between papers. Also, two internals are conducted per semester.
Admission
I appeared for a common entrance test for Karnataka students and scored good marks. The counseling for seats was online and we had preferred colleges of our choice and based on our rank seats were allotted. Once seats were allotted online, the admission took half a day at the college campus.
Faculty
The college has well experienced and senior faculty. Teachers are extremely knowledgeable and provide guidance to students in and out of the course. They help the students in and out of the course as well.
