Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Although I wanted to take Political science honours but my cuet score is 771/800 so I have to opt my second preference that's Sociology honours. It's also very nice course. It changed my thinking process I've unlearned every thing which I learned and saw everything in a new perspective. I've chosen this course because I'm an upsc aspirant and this course can help me in improving my thinking process. The curriculum is based on NEP it means u there are 3 core subjects 1 General elective course 1 Value added course 1 Skill enhancement course and 1 ability enhancement course. These courses have been added to enhance your skills so that u will not limit urself to studies only

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Although my college provides many intership but I've not joined anyone yet so I don't know about it much. But I can assure u that u will get intership here paid or unpaid based on ur skills. U can also join as a fresher. U will learn so many things

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi. I'm tanishka. I'm currently pursuing my graduation from one of the most prestigious and desired college of India. That's is called hindu college. The annual fee Structure for my course is Rs. 25265. My course is bachelor of arts sociology honours. There's different feeling structure depends on ur course There're scholarships for financially weak students. They can avail for them. There a scholarship called rajbhasa here u have to give a exam nd u will get 75k as scholarship fee.

Campus Life

4.5

Here's a cultural annual fest conducted called mecca also know as hajj to hindu - mecca. It's one of the largest fest of India. It's so grand and lavish. U can see this from the crowd that is here during mecca. It happens around the month of april or may. Apart from this a diwali fest is conducted by nss society around diwali. In sports here we have a badminton team, football team, basketball team, hockey team and soon we will have a cricket team also. There are so many societies which u can join accordingly ur choice and skills.

Admission

I've not applied for any other college but I wanted to join BHU that is Banaras Hindu University. But my family didn't allow me to go that much far. But I'm very happy with my decision of choosing hindu college. It's better in every sense apart from it's fee structure. There's a exam called cuet means central university entrance examination which u have to crack to get into hindu college but there's a very high cut off in hindu specially for some courses like i mentioned political science honours and arts stream college

Faculty

5

There are 1 teacher over 40 students according to me. Faculty is very friendly and helpful. They will help u for sure if u are in need. U just need to tell them. There are very easily approachable. They will listen to u. Students and faculty relationship is also very good. I mean we respect our teachers listen to them. They also respect our choices and listen to us. My favourite teacher is twinkle mam here. She is so nice so kind hearted. I love her so much. She listens every problem and try to solve it There are two exams over a year. There's a semester system means two semesters each year and two times exam. At last of year u will get cgpa based on ur both semesters exam performance. Exams are not that much different. Passing ratio is 99% here

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
