MIRANDA HOUSE: A House full of opportunities and adventures.

I personally like geography from the very starting so I chose to carry this forward and I feel curriculum is really relatable for those who wants to make their career in this particular field. It really helps in building your base and provide you practical knowledge. I feel as this is a practical subjects so should be the method of teaching instead of telling what to do show and teach us how to do. It's really easy to cop with exams and other activites.

I don't know about any intership programs offered by college but our department provides isro courses for better learning and experiences. It really helps in better understanding for our practical subject.

The fee for the geography honours at the Miranda college in the first year is around 17,400Rs. In the second year it reduced and got 16,150Rs. There is no difference in the fee structure on the basis of category; it is same for all category. We have to pay an examination fee every semester, which is around 1200Rs. Students from ladakh and Jammu gets scholarship.

The main college fest "TEMPEST" occurs in april- may and there are different departmental fest that pccur around the same month. There are wide range of books available in the library with great infrasture and spacious seats and easily accessible. There are smart boards in every classroom and there's a computer room which is accessible and you can do your work over there during your free time. There are many clubs and socities related to different fields which are really active and helps in personality development.

Miranda and Geography honours was my first choice and fortunately I got my first preference. I chosed this college because of the environment it provides. The admission process is quite long you need to pass class 12th and every subjects was accepted for your course and people mostly chose humanities subjects for the exam. The cutoff was around 650 for ST and around 700 for General Otherwise the overall process was smooth and step by step.

There are faculties that are quite good and reallt friendly and actually helps you out in every situations. They are approachable you can contact few even for your personal problems and they'll help you out without judging you. I personally really like Ruchi Gupta Ma'am and Shipra singh Ma'am. These two are young professors and they understand what we go through so that is why and The professor I don't really like is Bashabi Ma'am because she is unapproachable and I don't like her teaching method. So, there's 3 core subjects in which one is practical and the other two are theory. Exams are not so tough and nobody fails the exam.
