I wrote JEE exam in 2020 to get selected in IIIT Bhopal, I also applied for many other colleges like IIIT Pune, Nagpur, Allahabad etc but did not get selected as the cut off rank went up that year for these colleges .I made a list with cutoff ranks for the colleges I wanted to get enrolled in and after the completion of JOSAA counseling I got IIIT Bhopal CSE branch as alotted seat.The admission process for my college include successfully passing JEE mains exam and falling under the cutoff rank (different for different categories) and paying fees for the admission....Read More

I chose this college over other because of the high placement statistics. The college life is enchanced by the fact that it is in a capital city. Our mentor institute is an old NIT itself. I had applied to other IIITs like Ranchi, Nagpur, Una, Sonipat, but the average package of Bhopal was highest among them all. The admission is done through only the ranks of JEE Mains. You have to go through JOSAA and CSAB Special round counselling to get into IIIT Bhopal and clear the cutoff in your category in the councelling. Since i was convinced that i will take admission in a IIIT so NITs, IITs and other private colleges were out of contention. For my rank the IIITs that were in consideration were IIIT Pune, Surat, Guwahati, Bhopal, Nagpur, Una and Ranchi. I was given IIIT Ranchi Cse in all the 6 Josaa Rounds and then in CSAB R1 was given IIIT Una and in the last Round i got IIIT Bhopal IT. Pune,Guwahati and Surat were higher in priority but my rank was just not enough for their Cse cutoff. Nagpur's fee was very high so i had lept it below Bhopal Una and Ranchi. Ranchi is far from my city (Bhopal) so it was mmy 3rd priority. Among Bhopal and Una I gave priority tio Bhopal simply because it is my hometown, placements here are very good in comparision to Una....Read More
