Course Curriculum Overview
In the new curriculum system , one student who belongs to science background should have to choose subjects from arts background which helps us to open mind for more career options. The curriculum including study area prepares us for real world application or further academic pursuits.
Internships Opportunities
College provide internship opportunities from 4th sem. As I am a student of 3rd sem so I don't have much knowledge of this site . But I heard about it from seniors that really good internship opportunities are available with our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees we have to pay is 1690 Rs which include affiliation fees, registration fees, registration fees, enrollment fees, fees for renovation and repairing old buildings, desk , bench and college furniture, cctv and security feescampus beatification and gardening, boys and girls common room and their toilet repairing, power, laboratory fees, library , academic seminar, guest lecturer, sports training, examination fees, identity card , magazine fees, union fees , festival fees, debating fees, youth festival etc. Scholarships like ishan iday, ner etc are available for students in the college.
Campus Life
Our college celebrate different festivals like freshmen social in September, farewell in may, youth festivals, and various competions to give students a platform where they can showcase their talents. College also provide smart classroom facilities which is helpful, sports and extra curricular activities training etc.
Admission
Instead of AVC, I got selected in Pub Kamrup college, Guwahati but as I had to choose only one so, I preferred AVC . Also I heard that this college's science background is good compared to others. The admission process is online which is really helpful. Also, spot admission process is available. College gives fee waiver scheme which is helpful to students to some extent.
Faculty
As I belong to mathematics dept. In our dept. , faculty and students ratio is good. I like all the faculty members . They teach us in a really friendly manner . Their mentorship really gives us to fight with our life and career. There are 2 exams held in one semester.
Other Applied Colleges
Pub Kamrup College | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)
I got selected in both these colleges but I had to choose one so I preferered AVC
