Dislikes
- College politics is happening on a very dirty level which divides people on the basis of region caste languages which creates unnecessary differences within us
- As many people prepare for civil services examination after coming into colleges still this 67% attendance criteria is not helping them rather taking their time away where they want to use it
Course Curriculum Overview
Specific aspects of curriculum includes like my interest about modern history from nationalism to constitution making which is briefly taught in my course the curriculum aids us in getting our basics clear regarding future examinations and makes our perspective to look at historical aspects much wider Course can be shortened if we focus less on world history rather indian history the timings for exams are best because it improves our writing time as well as our paper presentation
Internships Opportunities
No internship has been recieved to history students till now it is exclusively for commerce department students all the internship opportunities are always displayed on the notice board of the college and is open to everyone
Fees and Financial Aid
My year wise fees was about 25000 for first year and same is being followed in second year too and this included everything like registration fees to departmental fund to everything although for departmental trips we were asked to pay 6000 and that too it was not official and the college fees is uniform for all the students despite their reservation differences and special scholarships are available for students of SC & ST and also scholarship exams like raj bhargava scholarship foundation exam is also available
Campus Life
The name of annual college fest is MECCA which invites biggest celebrities to perform in our college also our departmental fests too happen which goes by different names every year our college has the biggest library of the whole university which is a three floor large library where one can fet access to any book they want our college also has a lot of socities in which people can participate and prepare for events in their respective fields
Admission
I chose hindu college above all the other colleges because it is my dream college from the very beginning and i always wanted to get this course along with this college so admission process in hindu college is through cuet examinations in which i scored 761/800 and then i created a preference list in which in which we have to select colleges according to our course and i kept hindu college on top and got it in first round of seat allocation
Faculty
The faculty to student ration is about 1:12 as in our history department we have 8 teachers and about 67 students and the teachers are easily approachable as for some it applies some are too busy in collegee and national politics as far as ik from my experience in college the best faculty is of political science because they are the most interactive teachers and most cooperative too i don't have much experience about different faculties but i don't understand teachers of my department sometimes they act strange and biased at times there are a total of 6 semester exams for students happening at a time i terval of every 4 months and it is very easy as it only repeats previous year questions so if you study 2 days before exams it is very easy that you score good
