What Students Say
Likes
- Extra curricular activities that the college provides
- The student teacher relationships are strong creating a safe space
- Encourages student growth and allows students to explore various internships and learning opportunities
Dislikes
- The campus is quite small , and students don’t have a solid place to hang out
- Gaining permissions for various events is a long tiresome process
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite similar to regular bba , a few more aspects of euntreprenuership could be incorporated into the syllabus for the extra fees we are paying , the course material also seems a bit outdated
Internships Opportunities
We are given internship opportunities from certain clubs as well as the internships and placement cell in the college in our first year we are mandated to do a small business internship, in our second year we are mandated to do a corporate internship, the small business intenship I secured was through the Josephite business club, but I had to find the corporate internship on my own , while many in my class got through college itself
Placement Experience
The placements at Sjcc are quite good , my seniors have got placed into companies like Accenture , ey , lowes , Goldman saches, they even offer summer internships which help students develop there resumes and get more exposure into the real world
Fees and Financial Aid
First year fees was 2,17,000 in the second year the fees dropped to 1,97,000 and it has been stable for seniors as well , our course is a little more expensive at is it a specialised course and helps students who want to persue there future studies abroad , we study almost the same things as the regular batch but have less practical subjects.
Campus Life
In the first year we are mandated to join a college club which includes cultural clubs like fashion , sports , choir etc .In the second year we are mandated to join a department association these department associations are more focused on career growth and development while the college clubs are focused more on personal and cultural development
Admission
I mainly chose this college due to its central location and recommendation from my seniors I didn't go for symbiosis as it was on the more expensive side and didn't go for christ as it is much stricter and the entrepreneurship course was unavailable , Joseph's also has a more lenient attendence policy
Faculty
Most of the faculty is very fun and open minded , they interact with students in a kind and respectful manner while still keeping in mind the college decorum , they are also very well verse on there respective subjects and ensure students get good learning experiences
Interview Experience
We had a mcq test followed by a group discussion and micro presentation which was again followed by an one on one interview , consisting of parents and students in which the corse structure and aspects wheee discussed to students and parents.
Other Applied Colleges
Christ University | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]
I preferred the crowd and culture in sjcc more, christ takes education to seriously and doesn’t let us explore any extra curricular activities
