Course Curriculum Overview

3

There's not a huge difference between plane CS and CS specialisation as these private colleges use this type of tactics to attract crowd towards tech. branches. You'll have to study side by side along with your ongoing college syllabus for exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes,there are a good internship program through college. There were total 72 offers for Computer Science department for semester 7 specific including paid as well as unpaid, still most of them were paid ones. There were total 197 offer for CS for semester 8 I have given total internship offers for each branch below: SEM 1 AND 2 •AIDS - 148(All paid ) •Chemical - 76 (paid, unpaid and continued) •ENTC - 187 ( Both paid and unpaid) •Instrumentation - 134 (both paid and unpaid) •Mechanical -353 (mostly paid) SEM 7 AND 8 •IT - 78 ( mostly paid)

Placement Experience

3

•Over 120+ companies visited campus and 1500+ students placed (as per official college website) •The highest package for the year 23-24 was reported to be 54lpa and average being approx 7.8lpa. •No. of students placed is slightly is less approx 70 percent since some of the students opt for higher studies some have thier start ups while some of them don't qualify as per company needs. •After getting my degree I would personally wouldn't go for higher studies and will try for campus as well as off campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

•The total fee for open category incollege per semester is 1,92,945 Inr per semester including Tution fee(1,62,608), Development fee(24,392), Exam fee(2200), eligibility fee (600), miscellaneous (3150) •Note the eligibility fee for OMS(Other Than Maharashtra) candidate is 1,100 giving a total fee of 1,93,445 •I got admission through TFWS quota so I didn't have to pay any tution fee per semester;my total fee being 30,337. •TFWS being beneficial for open category candidates generally has higher cutoff. •Category fees(Total fee per semester)are as follows : ?OBC,EWS,SEBC-1,11,641 ?VJ/NT/DT,SBC,Girls(OBC,EBC,EWS,SEBC)-30,337 ?SC,ST-5,945 ?PH/PWD/Orphan-28,977.

Campus Life

4

•VIIT college does have a sport ground and is available for everyone but is mostly empty, students are not interested in sports, a very few number of students have their sport teams and they do represent college in their sport. •The infrastructure is an average side not very bad and very good considering the fees. •Again considering the fees they literally ask you to buy some 1.5k kit and some other accessories excluding calculator and something I mean what the heck! they can't even provide this basic things after taking 200k from students per year yeek! •An event is did conducted every year called as vishwotsav which includes some celebration where you can show some of your skills . Several other events are perfomed according to the occasion like republic day independence day and all.

Admission

• I got 90.67 percentile in JEE Mains and 98.27 percentile in MHT CET, with this scores I didn't had any options but to go with state colleges. • I applied for all branches of COEP and VJTI alternatively from top to bottom eg. 1.COEP CS ,2.VJTI CS,3 COEP IT.... and so on. I kept COEP at higher priority because I live in pune. My third priority college was PICT and fourth priority being VIT pune continued by VIIT. •I prioritiesd my Cap round list from past years cut off (higher cutoff branch at top). •I got VIIT CS(TFWS) software engineer at Cap 1. Since I luckily got TFWS seat so as usual I didn't wanted to loose it and for further cap rounds I changed my list as keeping the top order coep and pict college the same and only the vit TFWS seats. •I didn't participate in any spot round since I was already satisfied by my seat.

Faculty

3.5

As mentioned earlier the staff in the college is very good. Also I can't personally name the staff and rate their behaviour towards students since this is a subjective thing. I'll say the huge intake of students has an adverse impact on students to teacher ratio IYFYK.

Interview Experience

4

I prepared for the question by getting help from my seniors and teachers. most if the questions were academic oriented so you'll only have to focus on academic properly. the questions other than academic were need to be studied after college.
