Introduction about SLIET by Vishal Dhiman

Course Curriculum is very effectively divided between different sections different types of subjects are included in it like course subjects, open elective subjects etc. different subjects further divided into different units. That is actually good to see the syllabus. I think there is not need for major improvement in the course Curriculum and teaching methods. Frequency and timing exams are very well prepared. Exams are conducted on the prescheduled timings.

You have to apply personally for internships. But if you want to apply for bigger industries or companies for internship then our college fully supports us. Some of our college students take internships in ISRO, IIT Mumbai etc. places. So ther is no bigger issue to take internships. Maximum stipend for internships are around 20k to 25k. But this will have to improve more

The placements are started from the 5th semester. Our college faculty staff conducted special classes for preparation for interview, exams that are reated to the placements. Number of companies visited in our college and they give valuable offers for the selected students. Companies like Samsung, CEAT Tyres, Infosys comes here for giving valuable offers. The highest package of or college goes around 30 lakh per annum and the average package of our college is 6 to 9 lakh per annum. In our college the placements percentage is increasing every year. Last year the placement percentage is around 60%. But maybe this year the percentage level of placements will also increase. Maybe I will compete in placements when I get opportunities. But after degree I have a plan to do MTech.

Firstly I paid around 70000 while admission to SLIET I which they include admission fee, hostel fee, course fee, security fee ect. Then when I paid fee for next semester then i paid 37000 as a course fee and this is my 3rd semester here and I paid 37600 as a course fee in which the professional subjects and open elective subjects included. There is a scholership opportunity for those students who got above 10 rank in the entrance fee. For those student they just have to around 5000 to 10000 fee. Other fee money will be deduction. And there is also have one another scholership in which if you obtain good cgpa then you get some fee deduction and university also provide single room hostles for those students

The experience with campus, focusing on social aspects, club involvments, and the infrastructure provided in great. I think in my whole life I have never this kind of university. There is alot of good things in infrasture and this is improving year by year. Generally there are two main campus events conducted by our university that are TechFest and Madhuram. In TechFest event different kind of models are shown to us that are recently made ad this enevt conducted on the mid April. And the second event that is Madhuram, this event is about music, dance, full of enjoyment. Personally I like TechFest more because there is a lot of things to learn. Modern classrooms are everywhere in our college. Our own classes are also conducted in modern classrooms. Different type sports event conducted here like badminton, cricket, vollyball, basketball, football, etc. There are many clubs for students who impact on students life. This also improve our social interactions.

Hostels are the one of the most interesting topic here. There are 10 boys hostel and 4 girl hostels. Registration process of hostels are very simple. Just we have fill the 3 form. In one hostel room generally there 3 students in 9 hostels but 10 no. Hostel is the only hostel that are with available with single room. In hostel rooms they provide a table, chair, single bed,and one almirah. Meal quality is also very good here. Meals are scheduled for weekly we have to paid less than 3000 for mess bill. If we want to take rented room then we have to go out side the college campus around 5 km. But girls PG are provided inside the college.

I applied for 3 different collages that are HIET, SLIET, HP Technical University. All colleges are good but our diploma lecturer Vivek kishor recommended us to take admission in SLIET University because of good teaching facilities and staff. I didn't get any rejection from other colleges in which I had applied to addmission. The addmission process of our college is that they firstly conducted entrance exam. Then they declare result and give cutoff. The students who are inside the cutoff then these students are able to take admission in our college.

Faculty members of this university are very experienced and have a great knowledge about there own field. All of the faculty members are highly qualified from IIT's,NIT's and also from abroad university's. That is literally a good thing. Professors are very disciplined and hard working. There is a good exam conducting. Firstly there you have to clear minor 1 and 2 and quiz1 and quiz . Then after all of these things there will be having majors that is also called as final exams. Minors are of 30 marks each and quizes are of 10 marks each and majors are of 50 marks. JS Dhillon is my personally favourite faculty member. Ankshuka bansal is quite poor in giving knowledge. Per semester there is 3 exams conducted and there difficulty level are lies between moderate and difficult

I am a lateral entry student so I just gave the entrance exam for admission. There is no group discussion and interview for admission. There is only offline test conducted in different cities in all over the India. The addmission criteria for diploma is you should have 10th or 12th class qualified. But if you want going kd BE then you you have give jee mains or jee advanced exams and if you are for lateral entry BE student then you should have diploma in particular course and 12th class qualification. certificate
