Remarks

One thing I feel bad about the college is the placement cell and the marketing department. If they work hard on this , they will get more admissions and good revenue. But it will need time to make the market in this field.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Altough it was as average. I think they can work hard on teaching. It is more theoretical. So I thing they should work hard on practical’s because practice knowledge is required these days. So they would spend some time to increase machinery

Internships Opportunities

No our college don’t provide internships, I got a internship by myself and I didn’t get any stipend.its very hard to get a internship now a days unless you are paying them. So overall you need to be hard working.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement and job opportunities are very bad right now. Only 2-3 companies come in the college and they offer 9-10000 pay. Companies are very local and less paying. Multinational companies are missing.

College Events

2

There are a lot of events that we enojoyed in the capus. First of I like playing outdoor games. Sports meet held every year. techfest and farewell and freshers party Made it more special for us. We loved that

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very normal as compared to other colleges and deemed universities which are nearby to college. Fees are very. High now a days. So I think fee is less and very feasible as compared to other college

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are provided to schedule caste and schedule tribe student. Rather than that I don’t know much anou that. Loan are offered by the college with bank to the students.no I didn’t availed any loan or scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

I think sports facilities and grounds are good but coaches are missing. Labs are there so don’t worry about that. Carriculam activities are good. Because there are many competitions which held in our college.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is one of the best thing in the college. First of all colleges hostel fee is very genuine and I love the environment of the hostel. Most of the facilities are provided by the hosted so you don’t have to worry.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were good and helpful. I was a sports person so I had a good connectivity with them. I never got into a ragging thing. After there graduation. My serious were in touch with me. So I say it was good.

Exam Structure

It is good. They work hard on theoretical part. And it is very serious and faculty take care of studies and exam. Cheating is very less and cameras are there in every room. At te end it has good standards.

Admission

I got an interview by ggscmt admission council. The interviewers were very helpful and question were very basic. Although I had good academics marks so it was not difficult for me to clear the exam.

Faculty

2

Faculty of the college is very helpful when you are in first year. After that they don’t care about you. They are doing business so they behave more professional. And very less helpful for the students.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
