Course Curriculum Overview

2

Course curriculum is pretty exhausting. And it doesn't really prepares for real world. Students have to learn themselves for their own good other than college. Teachers really need to teach better instead just reading ppts and talking rudely to students. In every 5 months there are end sem exams and in between them mid sem are there. And also the supplementary exam for even sem and kt exams for odd sem. If student cannot clear their 1 subject in 4 chances then they will get the year back. Students can't take the backlog of 1st year in 3rd year and backlog of 2nd year in 4th year. They have to complete them anyhow.

Placement Experience

2

After 6th sem mostly students can sit in the placements and they shouldn't have any backlogs for it.many companies visited but the number is decreasing i guess every year. Good companies like jp morgan and Deloitte and other has visited here. Highest package in the college for last year was about 58 lakhs annually but it was a dubai based company. In domestic highest was nearly 25 lakhs. Average for computer engineering and it branche might be nearly 11 to 13 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year the fee was 425000 and it gradually increased 8% every year. Second years i paid 459000 In third year i will pay 495720 And in fourth year 535377.6 So total 4 years fee will be approximately near 20 lakhs.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life here is good not that bad. College campus is large as compared to other colleges in mumbai. There is a technical fest named abhiyantriki in October every year. Which just okay not that great. But they have this symphony as the main fest usually happens in February or March. It's like one of the great fest happens in mumbai. Here they have many clubs including every department for engineering and many councils and societies for the extra curriculum which are mostly waste of time .

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are 3 hostels in vidyavihar campus. One is polytechnic hostel 2nd is sandipani for only boys and 3rd is maitreyi for only girls. And the best one is polytechnic hostel with great food and decent fee structure. In sandipani and maitreyi they charge hell lot of fee for shit like food in mess. No ac nothing. Poly hostel fee is nearly 1.5 per year Sandipani and maitreyi 2.6 per year

Admission

I have given jee exam but score wasn't enough to get in any govt college so after reviewing many colleges i found this one as the better choice as the reputation of this college used to be good in old times not now though. For admission in this college applicants can fill thie application form on the college offical website where they asks for 12th result which is minimum 45% criteria and jee , sat , mht cet and other engineering exams score card.

Faculty

0.5

There are like so many facilities. Like for 1 student they might have 5 faculty. But all of them are useless. Worst faculties are gopal sonune and there some good faculties like samruddhi yadav and shewta dhawan charchra , bhakti mam they really help students in their academics and also vaibhav vasani sir is really helpful. Exams level are medium. But nearly 20 to 30% students gets failed in them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is pretty outdated. I am in cybersecurity specialization and there are only 2 subjects(starting from 2nd year) related to cybersecurity.and those courses are good but the faculty teaching them arent that great. they just read out the ppts, which they dont even share.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from final year. Students become eligible in 7th sem. Training sessions begin earlier. Aptitude and coding practice provided. Mock interviews are also conducted. Preparation quality depends on effort. Many service based firms visit. Some product companies also come. Roles include developer and analyst. Support and testing roles common. Core jobs limited for some branches. Multiple offers for top performers. Average package is moderate level. Top packages go to few students. Around half students get placed. Others find off campus jobs. Internships improve placement chances. My plan is skill based job.

That aspect that made me choose this course that the it very oriented with the project based learning which prepare students for the industry level knowledge and ready for the job . It really prepare for the real world problem which are needed in the industry. Some improvements can also be added as the era is of AI the curriculum can be shaped based on the AI for future proof. The frequency of the exam is every 6 months it is very good to have exams every 6 months as students get to check their knowledge on timely basis the difficultly level is manageable.

Semester 7 is when the placement season starts, and sem 5 onwards you can appear for internship season. The highest package goes in crores but mostly in cse department, others not IT jobs have reletively lower packages avarage being 20 LPA. Almost 60 percent and above students get placed in my guess. I am planning to work in a chemical process design firm.
