Very supportive and kind seniors from whom we can take advice anytime
Great coding culture in entire college , also the library is occupied everytime

Dislikes

Strict teachers for few subjects although most of them are very helpful
Campus size is small as compared to other colleges
Strict attendance criteria and they also have marks for attendance

Course Curriculum Overview

Teaching methods are great ,we have labs , theory sessions , guest lectures , quizes , suprise tests etc Our insems and endsems are somewhat mid to easy for everyone as far we have SPPU syllabus The exam time for insems is 1hr the exam time for endsems is 2:30 hrs

Internships Opportunities

We have really good opportunities for internship from various companies like BARCLAYS,BMC SOFTWARE , BAJAJ FINSERV , PHONPE , ETC almost 200 plus students get offered for such internships thorugh oncampus itself the roles are generally for ML , web development , software development ,etc

The placements for the year 2022 -2023 were fabulous , almost every student from every branch in our college got placed with niche packages Although for the year 2023 -2024 the placement session was good but not as good as previous year because of bad market conditions.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the year 2023 for open category it was around 1,00,000 including tuition fees , registration , admission fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges for 4 years it will be around 4 lakh rupees including all

Campus Life

Campus life is really good although its small but it is satisfactory , there are various opportunities for all the students in taking part in non tech and tech clubs , The PICT NAKSHATRA astronomy club is the best club , itt mainly targets people who have interests in space technology and research. There are many sports opportunities as well

Admission

The main reason for me to choose this college was for placements and having like minded personality people around me which will boost me everytime . The college has a good reputation as compared to all the other colleges in pune except COEP and IIIT Pune

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio would be around 1:40 , the faculties of PICT are really experienced including our TPO Narkhede sir, he has been very helpful for our college since past 30 years and he is quite a personality. For every year there are 4 exams mainly in order : UNIT TESTS - 30 marks INSEM - 30 marks Prelims - 70 marks Endsem - 70 marks although unit and prelims are just for practice and not hold much importance

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
