What Students Say

Likes

There are perticular class rooms for lab , work shops , machine rooms . And every lab have sufficient instruments for labs in physics chemistry and others . Here recruited specialised teachers for labs .
We have best lecturers in every departments .
There are installed many electric water filters which gives pure and chilled water continuously.

Dislikes

The playground of our college is small for playing cricket or football.
There is no hostel facilities for students.
There is no auditorium in our college for programs.

Course Curriculum Overview

From childhood I was eager about to study engineering and I love generators , engine very much and that forced me to choose this course. In this course we have thaught all the mechanism and all other about mechanical applications which used in all over . By this course we can get jobs easily that is the good thing about the course.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 1350 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to paid ? 850 rupees for 1 year and have to paid 250 for each two semesters in one year . This fees included library book facilities , annual programs etc . Students can get SVMCM scholarship for persuing this course .

Campus Life

There are many more small festivals like Teachers Day , Viswakarma Puja , Saraswati Puja etc. but two main festivals are " Ahhoban " for fressers welcome and " Metamorphosis " is annual fest in our college. There a main magazine published in the birthday of Acharyya Prafulla Chardra Ray and departmental magazines published in different times for each .

Admission

I choose this college because this is the no 1 polytechnic college all over West Bengal and faculties and other infrastructures are best among others . When I appeard in this college there was a ability test but from this year admission process is based on the X th standard marks .

Faculty

In my opinion faculties are best . They gives their best to teach us . If we have any doubts they clear them again and again . The best thing is that they cover all the syllabus before time . There is a very low chance of fail in exams because faculties explain the questions for the exams many times.

Overall a good college with best placement

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mechanical engineers design and build solutions to a range of problems.improving efficiency across wide range of industries. By studying mechanical engineering, I can look forward to good job prospects.high salaries and varied work.my collage has nice equipped laboratories and good classroom.it has well maintained hostel for men. I love the environment of my collage.my collage give importance to both studies and other extracurriculum activities. My favourite teacher is professor sourav das.he can handle any type of students.my collage teacher teaching methods are awesome , teachers serve as instructor who deliver knowledge to their students.through lecture and direct instructions aim to measure the result through testing and assignments. 3 years full time diploma engineering courses that's 1 semester/ 6 month. It is too difficult to pass out of this branch. The syllabus of mechanical engineering is quite huge. One cannot comprehend the vastness of mechanical engineering.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

Placement Experience:

After the 5th Semester apparently companies start interviewing students. I am going through campusing right now. I have been selected by Aurora for further interviewing. Highest package is of Jindal around 17k and average package is 11k with accommodations. 85-90% students get placement. I am planning for higher study completing B.tech after getting the degree.

Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

Good opportunities of studies

Student must have qualified madhyamik (10th) or equivalent exam (10+2) to eligible of the courses .All the examination process is conducted by WBSCTVSED website. APC in my view

It is basically a technical course. To get admission in this cource you have to appear in a entrance exam call JEXPO. After 10th you are eligible for this exam and the application fees is 500 rupees . Syllabus is normal 10th class mathematics, physics and chemistry.
