Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant and comprehensive. The curriculum is: - Aligned with industry needs and trends - Covers a wide range of topics and skills required for the field - Provides a good balance between theoretical foundations and practical applications - Regularly updated to reflect changes in the industry and new developments - Includes opportunities for specialization and electives to cater to individual interests Overall, I would give the curriculum a rating of 4.5 out of 5 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

As I am a freshman I cannot give much information about the interships but as far as I have heard companies such as Wipro, Microsoft, Deloitte provide internship opportunities to students at the end of the 3rd year depending on their CGPA.

Placement Experience

4

The placement is quite nice depending on you CGPA at the end of the 3rd year of you college. Companies like Wipro, Microsoft, Deloitte comes for recruitment and offer you internship if you ar qualified enough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual tuition fee for my course is 40,000. Since the course duration is 4 years, the total tuition fee for the entire program is approximately 1,40,000. I am pleased to note that the college offers a scholarship to students who have secured 75% or above in their previous examination. However, the total course fee of 1,40,000 is required to be paid at the time of admission. The scholarship amount will be refunded within 2 months of the commencement of the college.

Campus Life

5

Life at campus is vibrant and engaging, offering a perfect blend of academic rigor and extracurricular activities. Social life is thriving, with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures coming together to form a close-knit community. I've made lifelong friends and connections through shared experiences, events, and late-night conversations. The campus is home to numerous clubs and societies, catering to various interests and passions. From cultural festivals to sports tournaments, there's always something happening on campus, ensuring that there's never a dull moment.

Admission

The admission process is simple all you need is relevant documents such as certificates of your age proof and passing certificate of your class 12 board exams and the amount of 20000 to be paid during the time of admission and you will be enrolled then on a latter date you will be called for physical verification. I chose this college over other colleges because me seniors have reviewed this college to be excellent in any course students want to pursue.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members are helpful and communicate with us if we face any problems. The bcom hons course consists of 7 subjects. The marking scheme is similar to the marking scheme of the Calcutta University under which this college is affiliated. There are a total of 8 semesters so 8 exams are held all total.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

As I am from Commerce background so I need to make my career on this way so I choose this course . The faculty and student receive is not good the students and the faculty ratio is 10 : 5 The faculties are educated from various university and institutes they know everything but they are unable to delivered them to us as because they are some aggressive attitude. In every six months there is a semester and it is very difficult to pass if you don't study anything from the first.
